I bought the soap because I noticed that after much time of working in the sun and shaving, my skin was much darker than I remembered. Mostly around my beard and forehead, places where I get shaving bumps and black heads. First I have to tell you that I am an African American male and would classify myself as medium to lighter complexion. First time I used it my wife noticed a change in my complexion. I had the tell her that I was using a new soap (she thought I was using a new woman). I'd say that is an indicator that the was a noticeable difference the first time I used it. I have used the soap for a week now and have noticed some of the scarring around my beard does seem to be disappearing and my complexion does seem a little brighter. It does dry my face out after so I use a little moisturizer ( sorry, that sounds a little metro). I would recommend the product if your trying to just remove blemishes and sun damage that has built up over the years. I will continue to use the product.

I have like 20 products to review but I choose this one because it’s legit. I am on a « clear full body skin » journey and this soap surprised the heck out of me. I was not expecting it to work to be honest because I do not respond well to kojic. But let me tell you this soap lightened up my face a shade. Granted I use it with a drop of vitamin C every time after washing but so I did with all other products. This one is the bomb I bought it less than a week ago by the way on sunday. I use it twice a day on my face so I need to have my body catch up cuz now it’s darker than the face so I’ll slow down lol. This thing does whiten EVERYTHING. I dont have any acne just hyperpigmentation on my cheeks which is all gone now. I use the shouvy lotion after too I think people who need the lotion to work need to buy the soap with it lol.I pair anything with liver cleanse, glutathione pills and collagen by the way to stay clean inside and out.But thanks Shouvy for not selling fake products and for being true to your words!!!

Best whitening soap I've tried! After trying several brands and seeing minimal results, I can say that this soap delivers results as promises. Contains a list of great ingredients including vitamin C, vitamin B, glutathione, coconut oil and rice milk extract. Lathers up quickly to a cream-foam texture and does not overdry. I use it only in the morning since it washes off the oils from the night before. I started using this soap in mid-October and since then, I've had to use less concealer on the dreaded dark patches on my cheeks and above my upper lip. No joke, a few minutes have been shaved off my makeup routine - I'm hoping that with continued use, the dark patches will fade even more. Also good to use on dark parts of the body, such as underarms or body discolorations.

I've been using this product for a few days now and it's already showing improvement of my skin. It smells really nice. I like the peeling effect on my melanin skin for severe hirsutism.

This bar soap smells like candy, it's smooth and lathers well. I have used this 3 times since I purchased it and my skin color has lightened. My husband and children (older than 13 years) use this bar soap to correct skin tone unevenness. I think after using this bar soap for at least 6 months continuously, I will have gotten back to my natural skin tone, which is fair skin tone. I had over 20 years of skin tan on my forearms from fishing (growing up) and from being out in the sun with my children. I will be a repeat customer as I know that only just a few uses I see actual difference in my skin tone. Only think about this bar soap, it doesn't last as long as I thought. After about 8-10 uses, the bar soap is completely gone. I may have to buy 2 every month for my family size (8). Thanks for a great product! Suggestion: perhaps making the bar soap on a larger scale it will last longer?

UPDATE AFTER 3 MONTHS OF USE:Note that I use the soap about 3-4 times a week only BUT I'll have to say that my skin tone at overall is 2 shades lighter. I am Asian with some yellow undertone but mostly brown :) The dark spot (almost the size of a penny) on my left cheek faded greatly and is now just a very light brown compared to almost chocolate brown before I started using this soap.As I mentioned in my first review - you have to have patience to make and see this soap work. However, be prepared to continue to use this if you want to keep the improvement you are achieving or wants to see to stay. I use it like a mask on face so I dab the soap with my fingers with some water and apply it on in the morning or before taking a bath. I let it sit there for 1-2 minute still to be consistent with what I started.RECOMMENDATION:_You have to use a sunscreen for face and/or body (if you are using the soap on both)I recommend Palmer's Skin Success Fade Milk lotion for body and its face cream as these are moisturizing enough but don't leave a greasy feel. Both have Vitamin C & E plus Hydroquinone (helps in lightening the skin) as well as sunscreen in them so they help maintain your even skin tone and prevents it from darkening again. These products are working well for me.OLD REVIEW :)First, I'll have to say that this is pricey compared to other products out there promising the same results. For $9+ per bar and for the size of it, it is expensive compared to other products. HOWEVER, there are times when price becomes manageable as long as the product delivers what it promises which is what this soap is doing exactly!Hubby complimented my skin today and said "You're complexion looks brighter and your freckles and dark spots are fading!" - That made me happy as I have been using it for about a week now although not everyday I use this every other day because it is a bit drying on the skin if you use it every day. OR you can opt to use it say mornings only or evenings only. I do not recommend this to be used more than once a day really.Now, let's be realistic for a bit. Every skin whitening or dark spot fading products yield results after 2-4 weeks of regular use. Others, just don't! BUT I have to say that for a good straight week of use of this soap, you'd be able to achieve a result that you would wait 4 months from other soap offering the same benefits. SO THIS IS SUPERIOR in terms of you actually seeing the results of its effective ingredients on your skin in under 2 weeks. For me that is efficient and effective!I also recommend that when you use this soap, use it all over your body so you achieve an even tone all around. You do not want your face to end up too light compared to your neck and arms and entire body.When I use this, I lather the soap with my hand and then rubs it on my face gently. I leave it on for a good 1-2 minutes before rinsing. I find it more effective and you let your skin soak in the whitening ingredients. This helps in optimizing and maximizing the benefits.ONE THING TO KEEP IN MIND - when using skin lightening/whitening or bleaching products, make sure you use a body cream or lotion with SPF especially on the arms and neck which are often exposed like our face. For your face, pick a moisturizer for Normal to Dry skin with SPF 15 or higher but labeled as non-comedogenic. Why I recommend this? Because often SPF can cause break-outs. It defeats the purpose of using the soap if you end up having break-outs then eventually result to scars on your face. You do not want new scars when you are working so hard to rid of the old ones! :)Lastly for now, I love the scent. It is not over bearing.
