Amazing paper! Copic markers don't bleed through!
I love this little book. I have used a whole lot of paper, and I love using alcohol markers. The markers have bled through everything. Even if they don't go through onto the page behind it, they do bleed onto the other side of the paper you use them on. So I effectively have only half the paper in a sketchbook since I can't use the backs of the pictures I use the markers on. This has been true about every paper I have used, Except this one. It doesn't show on the back at all. It's astounding. Water based markers don't do so well. They do fine, but the paper fights them, since the paper is water resistant. Colored pencils work well, but since the paper has a lot of tooth, or texture, it eats the tips really fast. I get tense when I am sketching on it with mechanical pencil. I know the paper will be fine, but because of the texture, the paper seems to grab more of the graphite, and the lines appear darker. It erases well, but it is paper. Overall, very happy with it. My husband originally got me my little book, and this became a Book for my Mother-in-law, for Mother's day.

This book is definitely waterproof and pretty hard to tear
This book is definitely waterproof and pretty hard to tear. I wouldn't recommend really trying because it just warps the paper, but it's not your average paper. It feels weirdly smooth and velvety but it's pretty unique. I tend to be a messy drawer and writer so this book keeps me stress free if I make a mess on it. The only issue I have is that when you make ANY pencil marks on the paper, no eraser can completely eliminate those marks, so you will have quite a few ghost marks everywhere if you tend make mistakes. Pens however, work really well. Really inky pens tend to take just a tad longer to dry on pages so be careful, but ball points are fine. Also, it says on the back you can watercolor on them but that's a big fat lie, since it's clearly waterproof. I have not tried other mediums on the paper besides colored pencils but I would say pencil and pen are your best options.

This stuff is great!
So far I'm really enjoying this journal. Takes watercolor and water-soluble products pretty well. Certain ink works better then others on this paper, gel pens work very well on this paper. Markers work well, and pencil seems to work pretty good as well, erases decently not as good as regular paper but it isn't bad. Gouache is the only thing I'm probably going to refrain from using on this paper, it doesn't seem to want to layer smoothly on this paper.I haven't worked with it much yet so if I find any issue so will update this review but so far this paper /journal seems great for mixed media work. If you just want something for pencil, graphite, charcoal, etc I suggest just getting a normal sketchbook or a different exo friendly option because this paper is a better value for people who like working with various media.

VERY COOL! Just a note
If you have never used Stone Paper, you are in for a treat! Unlike any other paper, this paper has a totally different feel and weight. It is waterproof too. You can paint on it, draw on it or write on it...but even more than that, you can even sketch with silver wire (a technique called Silver Point) and create drawings that resemble those drawn long ago. The silver leaves a gray imprint but it tarnishes over time too. VERY COOL! Just a note: you can't erase silverpoint -- once it is sketched that is it. No such thing as a mistake - it's all amazing! This journal has unlined paper which is great to use for anything! I love stone paper so much I have even purchased large sheets of it to draw on. Like I said, nothing like it! Worth every penny!

This looks great. Has a great feel to the "paper".
I use it for journaling and sketching with colored pencils, but I do wish it was refillable.

Amazing
The paper is amazing and smooth, and unlike some other stone papers, allows you to blend and shade drawings with both graphite and pastels (the only mediums I’ve tried so far). I will be buying from this company again and would recommend this for anyone who is wanting to try stone paper.
