DrFrid Kidswear, Children's Clothing, Protection from Ticks, Insects, Bugs, Grey

We ordered these a year ago and have been pleased with them. They appear to to the job and don't rip easily. It would be nice if the hood had a drawstring. However, the price has gone up by $20 in 1 year! I have recommended these to many other families but wow, now it just seems like you're taking advantage of people. How is a family with more than 1 kid supposed to afford it?

I'm not thrilled with the look, but I have no complaints in terms of bug protection. Both of my children wore these during a camping trip in dutchess county. Not only did we come home without a tick, we were also protected from the mosquitos which were all over from the damp weather. We received MANY compliments because it was light weight and also provided protection (it was 90 degrees and the kids didn't complain). I'm about 5 feet tall and picked up a set for me too. I wore the pants under my shorts, as did my kids. It was perfect. We weren't winning any beauty contests but this works!

I ordered 2 sets and sent the smaller size back. My granddaughter wears about a size 5 and we kept the 6/7 and sent the 4/5 back without even trying them on. All in all, I think these worked pretty well, even though she got 4-5 bites on her legs.

Outfits were great. Instead of having to put on same permethrin treated clothing every day, the kids were able to wear these mesh permethrin treated outfits over whatever clothing they had on. We put it on each time we stopped at a grassy area when we traveled in areas known to have Lyme ticks. I also treated the kids shoes with permethrin. We got no ticks and it protected the kids from mosquitoes too. Of course, the outfits got dirty and need to be washed separate from other clothing, but that's the case with any permethrin treated clothing.

I ordered the 4t/5t for my almost 5 year old girl, about 40 inches tall and 38 pounds. I can't say how effective the product is, but I wanted to post a review based on sizing. The 4t/5t pants are about 25 inches long from the top of the waist band to the bottom of the ankle bands. The waist is about 16.5 inches circumference. The ankle bands are about 5.75 inches in circumference. The jacket: about 9.5 inches wide (19 inches circumference), 11 inches from shoulder tip to shoulder tip, length from shoulder tip to bottom of waist is 16.5 inches. I hope this helps.

My kiddo is in the woods almost every day at school and we like to hike and camp as a family. After dealing with Lyme last summer I'm paranoid about ticks. I bought this for my kid to wear when she goes out at school since I know she doesn't always remember to apply bug spray. She says it's very comfortable and likes that it just goes over whatever else she is wearing. The teacher loves it and has recommended it to other families at school. I'm ordering another one for my younger kid too.

This jacket and pants set was a life saver for my 4yo son this year. The black flies, ticks, and mosquitoes are awful here in New England. My son was able to play outside without getting eaten alive. The jacket and pants are separate and super lightweight. The bands on the wrists, ankles, bottom of jacket and waistline of pants is super soft and quick dry material. I totally recommend this product! Just be sure to size up. I got my son the 4/5 but it just barely fit!

These lightweight suits are extremely effective in preventing bites from all sorts of insects. My children wore them hiking through the woods in New York. They loved that they could be worn right over their clothing. They went through brush, trees, brooks and the suits never ripped or tore. They are made robust for all sorts of outdoor activities. They didn't even get one bite and we hiked all week. Thanks Dr. Frid!
