Nice quality
These tourmaline stones are of excellent size and quality. They are large and almost perfectly round. The packaging says to put 1 ball per 2 gallons, so I put in 5 into our 10 gallon tank and still have 5 left over. I rinsed them off really good first then let them soak in water for several hours. For now I just spread them through the tank but I may encircle a plant with them. They look nice and supposedly last a year. My betta seems to like them too and often sits on them. I like them.

vitamin for my fish
Perfect health for my BILLY ( my Betta fish ).These calcium-rich balls fill in the deficiency of mineral requirements including calcium, iron, boron, and manganese. Restores fatigue and can make them energetic

Seems to be working
The Tourmaline Balls appear to be working as I see increased amounts of activity in the mystery snails that I have. However, I see no change in the behavior from the shrimp. This is a slow release type of minerals that are supposed to increase the health of snails and the molting habits of shrimp.I don't actually see any activity around or on the tourmaline however, which either suggests my water is already providing those nutrients or the tourmaline balls are not diffusing it at a rate that they notice when touching them.

Cheaper than the big stores
Cheaper than buying at the big box stores, and it seems to be higher quality than most aquarium stores around me. The shrimp like to gather on these balls often I hope to see improvement from my tanks after adding these.

WAY bigger in person
I got these thinking that I could put them in my Eclipse system, but WHOA! They are the size of a superball and the weight of a stone. I decided to add them directly to the tank. 5 stars because you are getting a LOT of balls for the money.

Great for almost any tank
Great support for a healthy tank. I no longer have shrimp but still add these to me tank to add some extra minerals and stuff to the water. I find this especially helpful for bettas in non filtered tanks. My crew is in a 10 gallon with a filter but I do frequent water changes so I like having the extra support

Doing well in a shrimp tank
The amount of balls you get in the pack for the price is amazing. The shrimps and snails were all over the balls the first time I put it in. They shrimp seemed more active after I put these balls in so I think it is providing the extra minerals to make them healthier.
