Hammered, Upholstery Nails/tacks 7/16" - 100 Pcs [Antique Brass Finish] DX5611AB

Tried to hammer these into particle board to finish off a bar I upholstered with vinyl; bent or broke every one. Unless you are using these on cork board or perhaps the softest pine, stay away. The tips barely have a point on them and compared to upholstery tacks they are useless to use as a nail to secure upholstery to a solid substrate of any density.

The nail heads are not like the picture. However I do like the look on this project.The nail Head it’s self is much darker then what appeared in the picture. Be prepared to waste a bunch until you get the feel of how to get the nail in straight. I thought a hundred would be plenty but I had to order a second box to complete my chair.

Used these to accent a bevel I put on a Gibson Explorer. Couldn't have been more perfect. Great look and quality. Didn't bend a single one. Here's a hint, people: hold the nail with a small pair of pliers just under the nail head when you set it. You'll never bend 'em.

These upholstery tacks are great! They're strong, sturdy and hold up under pressure. I make little treasure box kits for kids to build, with leather straps for hinges. I use six tacks per strap. Other tacks I've used before, that I purchased from a major home store, would bend very easily - 3 out of 10. These tacks stay straight, bending 1 out 30. IF they bend at all. I highly recommend these tacks to anyone looking for upholstery tacks/nails.

Very sturdy

Replaced the bright silver tacks on this leather chair with antique brass tacks. Goes much better with my room decor. Really happy with these tacks and my final project.Tacks were also easy to install.
