Nomad Women's Puddles Rain Boot

I initially wasn't going to write a review, but here we go. I love these boots, but they have a major flaw: they keep breaking along the seams.My first pair broke within the first six months of owning them. The seem along the sole broke, resulting in water/mud entering the boot.I contacted Nomad's customer service, they replaced my boots, with the message: "If you want to extend the use of the boots we advise not to use them in extreme weather conditions or soak them in water because they are water resistance and not water proof".Fair enough, except I never wore them in extreme weather conditions or soaked them in water. Just walked the dog on rainy days.So I get the second pair of boots in the mail (yay!). Initially I was super happy, only to find out today that the back of the boot is now splitting along the seam. I have worn these boots only during the summer time, when it was nice and dry. Disappointed :(Maybe there is a "break every nomad boot" curse on me, but I will not be purchasing new nomad boots and will be looking for something tougher to walk in.

Absolutely love these boots! I ordered a size 7. Normally wear between a 6-7. Wanted them a bit bigger to have warm socks and :'( my pants into. These are great for wet weather. They are not however meant to be submerged in water. So far I have get to even get damp feet. Had them about 6 months and have been holding up phenomenally. I love the paisley pattern. I tend to wear a lot of black and they are a splash of colour. I use them about 2x a week to wear while gardening. They protect my feet and calves from the mud and scratches. I'm 5'3 and 155 lbs. They have enough room on my calves to tuck jeans, leggings, whatever into them. The inside is sort of a brushed felt and keeps me warm. I don't like wearing them with ankle socks when I'm wearing shorts since they are not breathable and my legs get sweaty. So wear knee high socks. I have received many compliments and as long as I clean them (aka, brush off mud and wipe them down) I think they will last for quite some time. Definitely a worthwhile investment for gardening. I live in the desert so we don't get a ton of rain, I just wanted something to protect my legs from scrathes and water resistant to avoid ruining yet another pair of sneakers by using them for yard work. The fit is superb. Great boots!

I'm revising my original review of this item. It has been less than a year since I ordered these pair of rubber boots. I have worn them infrequently mostly during rain of course but only spring and fall seasons. The boots are falling apart both at the same time. I'm attaching two images. There is a back seam along the whole length of the boot in the back, where the black part/ seem meets the rest of the herringbone material, either the glue or the material is failing on both boots simultaneously. For rubber boots that are supposed to withstand rain and elements, this is not a good quality boot as it has't even been a year.Overall the boots fit as expected. The in-sole inside slides back and forth in both boots. And once muddy the mud colors the herringbone material and does not come off very easily.If given a choice, would not buy again as they did not last even a year without starting to fall apart.

I have had these since October. I have worn them no more than 10 times. The whole back heel split open. I usually get $20 Old Navy boots that get me a year out of them but splurged on these ones last fall! What a waste. Badly made. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

I wore these boots probably three times and the right heel split up the back about 2 inches. One or two more times after that, the left back split all the way up to about 3 or 4 inches. I tried everything from hot glue to putting black electrical tape to keep it together but nothing worked. It was ridiculous that they broke that fast. I had researched boots on Amazon for a few weeks before I bought those because the reviews seem pretty decent but I was highly disappointed.

PROSCuteCONSIt was noted in the description of this boot to order 1 size smaller because the run large. I normally wear an 8, so I ordered a 7 and they were too tight to even put a sock on with them.Problem number 2; there was a note from Nomad in the package that states "rain boots are water resistant, NOT WATERPROOF, and are not intended for extreme weather conditions or submergence". Isn't the point of rain boots to be water proof, not just water resistant? If I would have seen this in the description on Amazon, I would not have ordered them in the first place.

About 9 years ago, I started a job as a Teacher Assistant and one of our duties is to stand out in all kinds of weather directing parent traffic dropping off and picking up their kids from school. 9 years ago I purchased my first pair of Nomad Rain Boots, and wore them every rainy day since UNTIL this year the rubber finally succumbed to years of being stored in the hot garage when not in use, and the rubber ripped when I put my foot into them. Now I probably could have repaired them and used them another 10 years or so but I decided to buy a new pair, I changed artists, had the Monet boots, went to the Van Gogh boots. :-) ENJOY, Nomads are DURABLE and come in FUN patterns!

First of all, I will say that I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of these boots. They are thick, warm and so far "water proof" though the packaging does explicitly say water resistant and to not be submerged. For walking down city streets in the rain though, they are perfect.The material is nice, and looks like fabric even though it is a matte rubber print. The only complaint I have with the design of the boots is that my calves are slightly larger and the boots are definitely snug and kind of bunch a little when I walk. They are VERY comfortable though and even on day 1 I did not have blisters or any discomfort before breaking them in. I'm typically between an 8.5 and a 9 and I ordered a 9 and they fit just as expected (minus the calves).

These are fun rain boots and they keep out the water (so far and I live in a very rainy city) but they aren’t very sturdy or stiff if that makes sense. They bend and move easily compared to my old rainboots as they have lots of space around the ankles. . Also they fit big. I’m a size 7 and ordered 7 but needed to put insoles in. They seem like more of a garden boot to me. But if you don’t use them much I’m sure they are fine. Just not the best support. But they are very cute.

Están bien hechas pero pedí la talla que soy y me quedaron enormes porque están demasiado anchas en el área del pie, aunque de lo largo sí fueran mi talla de plano se me salían a caminar, se las regalé a mi mamá que es la misma talla que yo pero tiene el pie gordito y le quedaron perfectas

I love the colours and quality of these boots but the sizes are WAYYYYY off! I take and ordered a size 7 but these fit like a size 8-8.5 so I have 2 sets of insoles in them to build them up. They are really great boots though and very unique designs

I haven't worn for any length of time yet but they look nice. The rubber is much softer than any rainboot I have ever owned. The only reason I took off a star is I would like a higher boot.

Poor fit....bought same boot, same size a few years ago and had been very pleased...not so much now. I have only had these boots for a few months and now fined that they have separated between the heal and up the back of the right boot.....very poor quality and unable to find a way to contact the supplier.
