Perfect Flip Key
The quality and finish is perfect. The key flips with ease but be careful when you take apart the fob to install your factory keypad. I wasn't sure how many times to spin the key on the spring. Over turning the spring will end up with a kinked spring and make it useless. I was fortunate to have another older fob that I was not using anymore and removed it for parts. Make sure you get the keys cut by a professional. I never had a problem taking the keys to my local hardware but this time it did not work out. I ended up ordering new blanks and now waiting patiently for it to arrive to try again. Unfortunately, the seller does not keep spares. The only faults I found was not having directions on how to spin the key blank on the spring. I also found the chip I had to remove from the Toyota key fob did not fit perfectly in the new fob. The slot for the chip was to big.

while the product is as described, it places the transmitter too far away from the receiver in the ignition to be able to start the car due to the 90-degree rotation of the buttons. Not an issue with the case per se, but check carefully to make sure you key button orientation is the same as this one before buying.

First...yeah....good stuff
OK this review is being proof read with vodka, but I will say this product is good...I got it for my 08 FJ and had the key cut...put in the buttons and guess what ....no start....WTF...ok ....transponders...thats the culprit, it had no instructions.....so...open your OEM key fob , separate the shell like it says on the back with a coin.....inside you will see a charcoal grey chip, the size of a small bean , use a tooth pick or paper clip to pop it out via a hole on the opposite side , be careful its like ceramic...in the new key fob near the front where the ket pivot is...there is a hole/slot for the transponder , drop it in , along with your OEM buttons...screw it shut and you are good to go.....hey....if you open the new key fob and stuff flies, no problem , hunt the parts down like a yeti , put it back , line up the halves of the new key fob , with button/spring and halves, give two, count them sober, two counter clockwise turns and the spring will have its tension again to flip out the key.....The plastic is good reminiscence of old GI Joes , wont crack easy , accessory loop if that is the term is metal , so no crack like a plumber....its strong.....At this time I will recommend this ....however , if they change their plasi mix , and the product is dodu , thats on them , my current product is cherry like Auntie Marie's harry canary....FJ members...I am shayneox. :)

Can't get key made correctly, think it might be the this key
Have bought this item twice and twice the key has came out wrong. Can't really blame the key maker since I went to two different locations. Might be it a third time and hope it's the charm. As for the benefits of having a foldable key: The fact that you don't have a sword in you pocket is really good. My OEM key has made holes in a couple of my pants so this would have been of great benefit had it worked. As for size, you aren't really saving in size as the key fob is slightly smaller than the actual key. Don't know about any of the issues with the transponder as I never got that far on my previous two attempts.

Good Key
I really like the key. However, I had to take the chip out of its original housing and move it closer to the key in order for it to work

Be Careful
Hey People, BE CAREFUL .. Do not buy this item, i tried to start my car after transferred my remote from the original key to the new key, but it didn't work because the chip is very far from the sensor of the car, believe me don't buy it : ) good luck

For everyone that says this does not work. The transponder for the key is in the housing where the battery is. Open it, remove the transponder and put in in the new flip key housing near the front. It works.... Just because you don't understand a concept of operation does not justify bashing a product.
