Sonos Two Room Set One SL - The Powerful Microphone-Free Speaker for Music and More - Black

Got this set to use as rear surrounds for the Sonos Arc and Sub I already own. I first set them up independently so I could hear them on their own.. The Sonos app makes the initial setup process a breeze! Within 10 minutes or less I had them added to my home network and they automatically ran their own firmware update.. I gotta was blown away by the sound quality and dynamic range of these speakers...while playing music on their own. They have a really decent bass and excellent overall quality of sound. Using the Sonos app I was then prompted to add them as surrounds without any effort on my part. I have them placed more than 10ft away from the main Arc and Sub located beneath my TV at the front of the living room. Aside from the freaking awesome sound quality I was already expecting from a Sonos system...I bought into them specifically because of the lack of wires I would have to run using conventional surround systems. Since these work over the Wireless G 2.5ghz band of WiFi, they can be placed pretty much anywhere within 100-150 feet of your wifi router and so far I have not had any issues with audio sync, etc. The app has a very handy volume adjustment and other feature settings that allow me to control the levels for the two One SL speakers as a pair in surround mode (as well as the arc and the sub). I can't tell you how useful this is! Depending on the placement of your set, you may want to raise the volume up for the surrounds or the sub, etc. You can even set different levels for the surrounds as designated for music or TV playback. Once I had tuned the system just right. I played some nature shows in full surround. The entire system with the Arc and sub produce a genuine and sometimes surreal surround sound experience, simulating what you would hear out if a 7.1 system. Sounds bounce off the walls and ceiling and hit you from all sides with such precision of frequencies and timing that you feel like there are speakers all around you!One thing to note, do not expect the system to play Dolby Atmos content if your TV does not have the built in capability to play Atmos content. My 65 inch Vizio only does Dolby Digital+ , 5.1 and PCM (2 channel stereo audio). Despite this the system still sounds as if it's playing Dolby Atmos sound when content onscreen is in Dolby Digital+ or standard 5.1 formats.I was so impressed with the quality of the Sonos One SL speakers as a stand alone pair, I am now likely going to buy another set for my bedroom. The beauty of it is you can use one speaker in one room independently of the other. And if you have these set up around your home you can easily group them on the fly to have the same content playing in all rooms.Additionally, guests can easily stream their own content to your system so long as you grant them access to your wifi.Packaging is always superb with Sonos products. They are quite expensive compared to other high end surround systems...but trust me they are well worth the price. The aesthetics and low profile of the Arc, Sub and One SL's makes for a very clean setup. Not having to run wires to all speakers is the best! You only have to connect your Arc via HDMI to your TVs HDMI ARC port. I believe the One SLs would require a Sonos Port if you wanted to use them as stand alone TV speakers.Overall I would highly recommend these to anyone. They are totally worth it!

It is the best investment I have made in my life.

They are way too difficult to set up. Power went out the other night for about one second. It took 2 hours to convince my ones, these, and a playbar to reconnect. Sonos really needs to find a way to improve connectivity.

It's as good as the reviews say it is. It was simple to setup and put into a stereo pair. The sound quality is absolutely amazing. I was worried about having to use the Sonos app to play my music, but it integrates perfectly with Apple Music and (many) other streaming services. You can also use AirPlay if you don't want to use the app. I like these so much I'm going to order the sub next, and then perhaps a soundbar. I'm very impressed.

I bought a pair of the Sonos SL speakers. Nothing came in the box except the speakers. No instructions, quick start guide, or anything like that. Then, I returned the speakers because I needed a set of white ones and not black. AMAZON IS CHARGING AN EXTRA $100 for the white pair!!!! Crazy. I went to the Sonos site and the price was the same whether you ordered black or white. I am not happy with the way one gets easily ripped off if one does not do the research.

High quality sound with Easy installation I won’t on a home without a Sonos system

Showed up early and was packaged perfectly boxes were in great shape.

I bought two Sonos One's. They are easy to use right out of the box and set up with a minimum of tech know how. I am an Apple system user, and they automatically synched onto all my devices from my iPhone initial set up. I would have given it a 5/5, but for the fact that I wish it were hair louder. I might forgive that, because they are so small, but secondarily, when you use Spotify from the Songs app, you don't get access to all your curated playlists. I therefore stream directly from the iPhone and not the Sonos app. A few more buttons to push, but not the end of the world.

At first I was hesitant to buy a sonos sl speaker because its a kind of expensive to my budget. But when I finally bought it, no regrets in buying. The sounds is great and and you can easily move it around the house. No more wiring just plug and play. Will recommend it.

Flawless installation, easy to use with music apps, each speaker can be independently controlled from app on mobile or pc. Going to get a third one now
