Climags Walther PPK/S Grips - Premium - Walnut

Purchased these grips for my 28 year old PPK/S in .380, as a more stylish replacement for the original black plastic grips that came with the gun.First impressions were good. Nice medium dark wood, carving for the Walther logo and decorative scrolls was clean and well defined. Handsome.Grips also came with a new screw which was unexpected.Removed the original grips and easily installed the new ones. This PPK has been my daily carry gun for a long time, and in my uniform days, was my back-up, carried in an ankle holster. I know very well how this gun feels in my hand. With the new grips, it immediately felt like a new gun, in a good way. Instead of the flat square feel of the originals, these new grips have a nice swelling that fill the palm and provides a sturdy hold that others have not. Lots of grip options out there and I've tried a few, but immediately I knew that I found exactly what I'd been looking for.Because of the beefy feel and how the gun now is secured in the hand, it actually gives the web of the hand, between the thumb and index finger a little more clearance when the slide comes back as it fires.If you have a PPK, you know that if you have large hands, or you grip it too high on the grip, or hold it with a slightly upward angle, that slide can bite the back of your hand.Not with these. Very nice.My only negative, and the only reason I did not give a full 5-star rating, is because the design did not take into account, how the decock lever makes a sweeping arc going between safe and fire settings.I'll have to carefully notch out a small semi circle and then touch up with a little wood stain, but its not a deal breaker in any way.I'd buy these again.

Unfortunately these are not machined to fit the 22LR model PPK/s.Had to return.
