Predictable, But Entertaining
The fourth book in the 'Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles' series, 'Bound in Temptation' is the story of Liliana and Romero. If you've read the books in this series in order, you probably remember Lily as Aria and Gianna's younger sister. You probably also remember the crush that she's always had on Romero, the older soldier that is Aria's bodyguard and one of Luca's most trusted men.Liliana is growing up and is no longer the child that Romero remembers. Despite his best attempts, he can no longer ignore the beautiful young lady that she has become. She hasn't grown out of her infatuation with Romero over the years, she's only become more determined to have him.Initially, there is a lot of push and pull between Lily and Romero. She keeps coming on to him. He keeps turning her down, while he secretly fantasizes about what it would be like to have her.Romero does his best to stay loyal to The Family. He's never wanted anything other than being a loyal soldier, until Lily. Now, he's forced to betray his heart or betray his vows. I think you can guess what he'll choose. He is only a man, after all.I love a forbidden love story, so this one was right up my alley. Add in a dangerous guy with serious bad-boy appeal and I'm hooked! It's no wonder that I loved Lily and Romero's story. While I don't want to give too much away, I will say that Lily surprised me with her strength. As the youngest sister, she was always portrayed as the silly little girl that was left out of the grown-up conversations before. She definitely came into her own in this book. Honestly, she was kind of a little bad-ass.Similarly, I really came to appreciate Gianna in this book. While Aria seemed more submissive and happy to be the good little wife to Luca, Gianna wasn't afraid to stir things up on behalf of her little sister. I absolutely loved Gianna in this book!Despite the fact that the story was predictable and like many other mafia romances out there, I didn't care. If it works, it works. This book worked for me. I enjoyed every minute and I don't feel guilty for it.The only downside to this story was that there was a large amount of grammatical errors. Incorrect word usage, misspellings and other elementary grammar oversights were pretty common. It was a bit distracting at times. For such a popular series and author, I'd expect the editing to be much better.Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was predictable, but entertaining. I was left feeling happy and contented. With war on the horizon for the New York and Chicago organizations, I'm curious to see where the next book in the series will lead.

I was itching to get to their book and I stayed up all night until I finished their story.⠀I enjoyed watching Lily blossom into the woman is she throughout the series, and along with it, her unwavering feelings towards Romero. She’s loved him since she was 14. And Sexy Romero - passionate, romantic and kind, but still a gorgeous, dangerous Made Man with a yummy side of abs. He didn’t notice her at all until she basically grew up and damnit did he love her with a fierceness that made my heart melt.⠀Romero and Lily are so underrated! The fact that they started war for each other. I still have chills writing this. I love them. I love them. I LOVE THEM!!⠀“𝙉𝙤𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙢𝙚. Unexpectedly Loved Lily and Romero
This story has been a long time coming in the 'Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles' series, finally the story of precocious Liliana and Aria’s stoic guard Romero. We know from prior books this couldn’t go smoothly. Lily is Aria and Gianna’s baby sister, and we see in books prior that she develops an intense school-girl crush on the reliable and level soldier Romero, second only to Matteo when it comes to being Luca’s trusted go-to guy.I honestly wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Lily- in some of the prior books, I found her to grate me a bit with her crush and her immaturity given how serious things are bothered me (yes, I know, she’s also a kid)- and, at first, we get some of that in this book, too. The book spans many years, so we see how things evolved over time, and as Lily matures, I come to adore her. The stakes of her world are a bit different than Aria’s so she’s more light hearted, and like Gianna she has some stubbornness and determination but she’s softer and less bullhead (and for me, thus, less frustrating)- in all, she’s got some of the traits of her sisters combined in a wonderful package. And, unlike her sisters, she’s had to endure her father’s treachery longer, even though she doesn’t make him as angry as Gianna. As such, she has this resilient, and quiet strength that I didn’t anticipate but greatly admired. And Romero- swoon. He’s more level-headed, reliable, and tender than Matteo and Luca- he’s the rationale, stoic guy of the bunch. I already loved him from the way he interacted with Aria, and here we get to see so much more of who he is- and the way he cares of Lily, even in resisting here, is adorable. He’s a bit more openly amorous, kind, and romantic once the relationship kicks off than the other guys- which is a welcome shift. He’s truly swoon worthy, and you can see how Lily loves him and why Luca trusts him- you want someone like him on your corner, he fights for those he cares about.Bonus- we get more of Aria-Luca and Gianna-Matteo, and Gianna has some nice moments here where I actually liked her being hard-headed, so Gianna fans will also appreciate it.Unlike the other books, this doesn’t start with an arranged marriage between our two characters. The tropes here are more age gap and forbidden love. Romero can’t help to start to notice Lily as she becomes a woman and pursues him, and Lily’s infatuation with Romero grows into a more meaningful and soulful connection. Romero fights it, we’ve got the push and pull, but we know they are both into each other and it is only inevitable. The issue, of course, is that this can’t end well- Romero has been warned off of Lily by Luca who can see her interest, Romero is only a soldier, and ultimately Lily also ends up being promised to a much older man by her scumbag dad. Romero has to start to choose between his loyalty to Luca and the Famglia, the life he’s always wanted, and his budding love for Lily. Her engagement catalyzes the story in a really powerful way- it is heartbreaking, riveting, romantic, and climatic. The book really excels in this section- you feel the longing and pain, you feel their connection. Very Romeo and Juliet. Man, I can’t wait for their dad’s demise. I hope Romero, Matteo, and Luca destroy him.Overall, I loved this, another great addition. Romero and Lily won’t replace Aria and Luca in my book, but I’d be excited to read more about them!

I didn't think that I loved bodyguard romances, but this book might have changed my opinion
Bound by Temptation is the fourth book in the Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles, an adult mafia romance series. This one follows Lilliana as she falls in love with her bodyguard, Romero, and the perspectives are split 60/40 in favour of Lily. I didn't think that I loved bodyguard romances, but this book might have changed my opinion because I just could not get enough of it. I always say that I love an angsty romance, and it does not get angstier than a forbidden romance which this of course is. This book is also really interesting because, despite the characters, a third daughter and a mafia soldier, being a lot less powerful than the Capo's and Consigliere, there is much more of a ripple effect onto Reilly's world. I loved Bound by Temptation, and it makes me excited to keep going with the series!

another good one
What I liked…It was nice to see how this one would play out, there has been a lot of build up between this pair and I wondered if it would fall short of the mark, I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as I hoped I would but it was still an exciting read.Lily was so strong, she had so much to deal with and I feel like it was a bit of a shame that we didn’t get to know her as more than the inappropriately flirty sister before this. However it made it a little bit more rewarding getting to know her. I liked that she followed her heart even though the consequences could be severe.Of course Lily and Romero together were super cute, and I was glad that they got their chance to be together. It was also really nice to check in with all the other characters from the previous books. What I didn’t like…I felt like maybe this one was a bit more rushed than the others, I don’t know maybe it was my expectations that meant I was a little disappointed, it didn’t quite have the same tension that the rest of the series had. Also the fact that Lily was pretty much sold off to a guy old enough to be her father was horrible and how that situation turned out wasn’t quite as good as I thought it would be.Summary…I wasn’t as enamoured with this book as I had been to the series previous installments however I still found it hard to put down and I had been desperate to find out what would happen between this pair.

Hatred
Forbidden love and temptation these are the perfect definition of what happens when a solider and mafia princess fall for each other, lines were broken and games were played, Romero was suppose to protect Liliana but what happens when accidentally gave his heart away. This book was really weird for me. Before you start saying what the hell is that suppose to mean, hear me out. About 60% of the book there's nothing heart palpation worthy and that's fine cause sometimes you need to take things slow but after 60% it's like Bam Bam thank you mame. Secondly the ending was a big NO! Yes it was a HEA but you know those kinds of HEA that leave a lump in your throat and your like something bads gonna happen and your just waiting for it, even though the books finished and your like NOOOS it just started, well that's the kind of ending I got and I didn't like it nor did I hated it. I D.E.S.P.I.S.E.D it. That being said cora really got me in this book and sure luca and matteo made me all fuzzy inside the real winner were two people, Fabi and Romero. Initially this was a 3 jar rating but Romero won me over and this is all for him.

Loved it!
Similar in some aspects to the others but also completely different. The characters were in love and wanted each other in this forbidden love and betrayed all to have this love. It was sweet and romantic to see their relationship develop over the course of the other books and then them come together for their HEA in this book

Love it!
I have read and enjoyed the previous books in this series at varying degrees. I was really looking forward to this story as I love Lily and Romero. I'm so pleased this book lived up to my expectations. I read it in one sitting! Enough tension and twists to keep the interest. At times it still feels like parts of the book are skipped over but this was one of my favourites. I loved it.
