It appeared to have been used. Some of the white lettering on the phones were worn dow when we received it. Poor quality, a step back in time as far as cordless phones go.

Only issue for me is that the handsets are not the best quality. after 2-3 years they look as if they are 10 or more years old! I wish Vonage would give us a better quality handset as an option.

Amazon product details describe this as the Vonage adapter model VDV22-CVR but I received the model VDV23-CVR. I was actually looking to replace my old Uniden cordless phones with a new set when I found this product consisting of three cordless phones in addition to an updated Vonage adapter. I had an older Vonage adapter model VT2442-VD from 2008 that was working fine, but this new adapter takes up less space and is more current, so why not upgrade the whole thing? The price was ultimately the deciding factor to be honest. Three new cordless phones plus an upgraded Vonage adapter at a price significantly lower than other systems made it much easier than having to decide between multiple cordless phones with newer technologies such as Bluetooth and a number of features I don't really need.If you are a current Vonage customer replacing your older adapter with the new one included here you are required to activate it through their website, in the Add-Ons section; make sure to have the new device's MAC ID (found on a sticker underneath the adapter) at hand. The process takes just a few minutes and it's done completely online. Once the activation is completed, the actual transfer into the new adapter is relatively quick. The 911 service re-activation took a little longer but it was completed the same day.The 3 cordless phones are pretty basic; they include features such as caller ID, 10 ring tones, volume control, speaker phone, device search, redial, call log, and they also have individual phonebooks (not shared). You can also identify each phone using a custom name; I named them based on their location, for example: kitchen, basement, and master bedroom, this way I avoid placing them in their wrong base unit.So far this has been a great choice for me as an existing Vonage customer. The setup was straightforward and the phones have been working without any noticeable signal degradation in multiple areas of a three-story house.

I am glad I am paying less for phone service, but the phones are a bit slow to respond and there is the occational breakup in transmission. Overall, very much worth the money.

I ordered this package about 1 year ago. While the Vonage service has been fine, the phones are awful. One of the three phones quit working after about a month. The other two lasted a bit longer, but have since been replaced. The phones are cheap and not worth the money. I would recommend ordering the Vonage adapter through the website and using your existing phones.

The Vonage adapter is OK but the phones are behind in their technology. My main complaint is that they don't share a phone book and you have to enter all your names and numbers into each phone. My old phones, which I purchased in 2006 had that capability but theses don't. Tried to return the phones only but can't. :((

I got this to replace my 6 year old Vonage set. Call quality is good but there is no headset jack and saved numbers in the phonebook are not automatically saved to each handset.

40 bucks cheaper than wally world, and the phones and vonage box works great. Heck, if I would have got phone service from the cable company, I would have bought this package just for the 3 phones. Also got a 50 buck gift card for signing up for service, and you can send and receive fax over vonage
