Replacement Armrest Arm Pad - Fits Herman Miller Equa Chair - Non-OEM (Set of 2) S4109-1

The arms on my Equa chair were badly cracking and had become very comfortable. These replacement arms fit perfectly onto the steel mounts and screw on using the original screws that held on the original arms. The new arms are slightly longer (a cm or two at most in any dimension) and slightly less stiff than the originals, but are perfectly comfortable.

These replacement arm rest are better than the original rests that the outer coating had failed. But the quality is not as high. The flashing (mold seams) was not trimmed equally on each pad. the flashing is quite rough on one of the rests. The screws needed to attach the new rests were not the same as the new ones. Making me make a trip to a hardware store to procure the needed hardware. (1/4 -20 x 3/8 machine screws) This was quite disappointing, and inconvenient. The arm rest should include the needed hardware to attach them to the chair.The replacement pads are larger than the originals as well. This is not an issue for my chair but could be for some folks.The pads are softer than the OEM pads, this is a a pro.

These fit reasonably well, the cutouts are the right size, and the curvature good. They are a bit larger than the originals. In the photo, the original is on the left. The problem with them is that screw holes, though positioned correctly, are just ever so slightly larger than the originals, and so the original screws don’t quite bite (these don’t come with new screws), so I’ll have to find new screws. Other than that they’re fine.

This is a reasonable replacement. Although it does not have the same texture and quality of the original armrest, works OK but develops some round marks and stains. It is visually very bad but functionally works.

These fit the Equa chair perfectly, but they aren't the quality of the original armrests. There are production "nubs" in the plastic and a prominent seam where the top and bottom were joined. Overall OK.

Not as nice as the original leather armrests, but at 1/6 the cost of the leather - they are a quality replacement. Much better appearance than I had imagined. Took less than five minutes to install.
