Bent Handle Julep Strainer - Stainless Steel Commercial Cocktail Strainer Piña Barware (One Strainer, Polished Finish)

I love the idea of this, and it does work very well if I’m careful. My problem is that I bought this company’s 2-part metal cocktail shaker set, which I love and use most every day for personal and entertaining use, cocktails and iced coffee shakeratos and whatnot. I frequently make double cocktails with ice or other large volume iced shaken drinks, which with ice and fully shaken volume fit in the large side of their shaker, not in the small side. This filter product fits the small side of their shaker perfectly. It does not quite fit the large side properly. If I’m quite careful about how it’s set and how I pour and hold everything, it can work, but if I’m casual and “normal” and just press the lever arm part of the filter to engage the filter’s “locked” position (and sings-hand use is part of the reason i bought this), it comes open/out most of the time. Seems like they would have tested it with both cup sizes of their own shaker set. Another couple of millimeters in length and it would have fit both cups fine.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this in conjunction with the Mofado crystal mixing glass.I am really impressed with this strainer. I found it easier to use than a traditional "spring" strainer and much easier to clean.It pairs nicely with the Mofado crystal mixing glass but works great with a standard mixing glass. I'm giving my standard strainer away; this is superior in every way!The video shows how this strainer works with a standard mixing glass. I'm just a novice and only have one other Julep Strainer, but it's more of an elongated oval than round. I know that most aren't perfectly round, but this one is elongated enough that you really have to be carful not to let anything past it. Like I said I'm just a novice so take this with a grain of ice. ;-)

Exactly as described

I’m proud to add this to the home bar. It’s attractive and does its job perfectly. I have an extra large mixing glass and it fits that just as well as a standard size. Piña Barware is a great value I’m general and a cut above most barware brands you’ll see marketed for home use.

You have to use two hands to keep this in place. One wrong move and all of the ice will end up in your Martini!

Very nicely finished and easy to use. Works perfectly with my mixing glass. Simple design and easy to clean. What more could you ask for?
