I installed this in our bathroom to replace an old fitting where the built-in transformer had bunrt out. Installation was very straightforward; I'm not an electrician, but if you take the obvious precautions of shutting off your lighting ring main at the RCB box and taping up the ends of the wire coming down from your ceiling, and if you know the difference between live and neutral, then fitting this light yourself is a breeze. Contrary to what others have said about the fixing bracket, it IS made of metal. Once you've ensured this is fixed securly to your ceiling it's literally a case of screwing in the live and neutral wires into the block attached to the light, no earth wire is required. The light housing then slides up over this bracket and fixed in place with two small screws on opposite sides. That's it!!Ok, so this light is dazzingly bright! My advice is that this light is not suitable for small rooms or where you have a lot of white as the predominant colour. Our bathroom is both small and mainly white and so the room almost becomes radiant when switching on this light. Please note, I'm NOT saying the light is at fault here, simply that for a small room it will be overpowering. Having said all that I'm still pleased with this product. One other small point, this light produces Daylight White light, the colour temperature being something around 5000 Kelvin. If you want a softer light look for the product that produces Soft White light, in the 3000 Kelvin region.There is no noise or hum while this light is running and barely any heat produced.

Bought this due to needing a slim line light due to bunk beds and is perfect for the job! Easy install with only complaint being the supplied flex is a little on the short side for my liking however that very much is personal preference, only other thing to note is this is a very bright light!

Nice, cheap, smart looking, bright LED light, ideal for our downstairs loo.We previously had a ceiling rose in previously and I changed it for this, teamed with an in ceiling PIR sensor to switch both this and the extractor fan on. Meaning no mechanical switch for the loo.Being ceiling mounted it really floods the room with white light. Easy to fit.

Wanted a replacement light for a old glass cover type that got smashed some time ago. It was also old and quite dated.The light is circular and quite sturdy. I took the old one down and fitted the ceiling bracket to the ceiling using some existing screws I had and not those supplied with the product. This was mainly due a desire to ensure the light was firmly fitted and unlikely to fall down, from an earlier life as an apprentice time served electrician.The existing cables were connected to the connector blocks within the light fitting. Note these are a push type ones rather than the conventional screw ones. You then use the little grub screws to secure the light to ceiling bracket.The light is manufactured in China. It is reasonably strong, easy to fit and VERY bright. My Wife and I are very impressed!REMEMBER - if you are unsure of the cable connections at the ceiling, involve a qualified Electrician to carry out the installation. I only has three wires from the one cable to connect. It is possible that you may have more cables and wires due to the way your household lighting circuit is wired!!

These are very very bright. If you want to feel like your having a visit from the heavens then this light is for you. We actually did buy another as they are really bright and efficient. They look a bit cheap and my husband thought it would be rubbish but it's an excellent light. Very bright in small bathroom we have one for kitchen too. The light is like daylight. Not so nice at 2am in the morning but it does what it's meant too.

Really surprised at the brightness of these. Ordered 2 for bathroom and toilet. Fitted easily and changed from existing fittings in under 10 minutes. Decent quality, sturdy enough and very impressed with the amount of light given out. Highly recommend these, cannot go wrong for the price and quality.

I bought this lamp as the cable was a bit longer, so it is easier to place on the right spot. But the included connector did not fit well with the cables in my house. Furthermore I was surprised that the cables and connectors were not further protected from moisture, given the IP54 waterproof rating, but the lamp covers the cables, i guess this is enough for splash protection. The little screws to hold the lamp stick out a little bit, this could be solved in a more elegant way. On the positive side, you don't need to bolt down these LED lamps so strongly as there is no bulb to change. Nice touch, they put additional screws in the package. Very bright, do not look directly into the light, but according to my experience, this will get dimmer over time.

I would equate this to a 200w cold-light search light that would be great for landing planes, but in my utility room it's something that will be replaced in the next week as everyone hates it.If I owned a butchers, I could imagine it being great....maybe a dental surgery, but the light is too intense and too cold (blue) for the home IMHO.
