The 1/8" backing is a unique specialty material with high strength and soft finish. It resists collapsing allowing you to pull your precious models out of your bag without fear of the tray buckling. With a resilient adhesive, Prime Time Foam trays are assembled by hand here in the USA, and will not fall apart with exposure to extreme heat or cold. The trays are glued around the perimeter with the foam precisely cut to cleanly break away one piece at a time.
