POWER PRO Super8Slick V2 Moss Green Braided Line

I use this spectra braid on an ultra light reel fishing for trout. I have both trolled and cast with it. Although it does twist, as is the nature of spinning reels, I have had no issues with it. The braid is silky smooth and cast like a dream. It is easy to tie onto monofilament/fluorocarbon line as well. I highly recommend it. My only regret is, it appears that PowerPro appears to have stopped making it in 8 pound test.

I use this line in my spinning reels for SURF FISHING… A spool of this stuff is expensive, little over $40 when ordered on line with shipping and taxes…. This line is all that separates a trophy fish from you…! Worth every penny…!

I’ll never buy another brand of braided line. I’ve tried 3 other brands in the past and ALL of them broke below their rated strengths. Only Powerpro has performed ABOVE rated strength. I’m done wasting my time with anything else.

I use this line for bead weaving and it's very sturdy as long as you don't use too much at once or have to frog something. Too many passes through the beads make the line shred, so you have to use short lengths. It doesn't break, but the fibers fray while staying whole if that makes sense.I bought it to blend with black beads since my go-to line, Spiderwire EZ Braid in moss green, doesn't blend well with black beads. This Onyx color looks great with all my black and various near black beads, so I consider this a successful, if imperfect, purchase. The shredding is annoying but I will continue to experiment with thread lengths to see how much I can use while avoiding this issue.

Braid will float, but the strength is amazing!

I've used about half a dozen different name-brand braids and this is definitely my favorite. I have 20# and 30# on two different Japanese Daiwa freshwater casting reels I have and the combination is just awesome. This stuff has some kind of coating on it that seems kind of slippery and that helps with any minor backlash tangles and it seems to lay onto the spindle very nicely. Also seems to knot very well with the mono backing and flouro leader I use.Casts great and I can't imagine ever breaking this line accidentally. Braid lasts forever although I end up replacing mine every couple years, at least beyond the backing. I recommend this highly.
