bad app & lack of computer desktop software :-(
well I can't give you 5 starsbecause the app is very restricted in term of optionsand the lack of a computer software is totally unacceptablebecause I'm sure many users of your products would like to change settings of the camerasand watch or delete or transfer surveillance videos more from their computer instead from the smartphonefix the app and add a computer software for windows & mac & linuxand you guys will jump to 5 stars

CAREFUL
Ordered a two pack... they looked new and complete upon initial opening. HOWEVER, when I started to begin installation by reading the instructions, they were not present. Opened the second camera... not there either. Compared on line “included with this product” and verified several other items were missing. Looked closely at the cameras... dirt spots, water spots and finger prints all over the lenses. Immediately requested refund and dropped them off at UPS.

These are great cameras
The media could not be loaded. The cameras are contract free which means a lot to me as a retiree on a fixed budget. They are extremely sensitive, bugs set them off, rain, etc., you can fine tunesensitivity as well as set detection region. I highly recommend this product however be advised there's a learning curve to which I'm still learning!

Very good camera. Excellent given the price and functionality.
I have it four stars but would have given five. The only reason I gave it just four was the fact that the interface is phone app only with no PC option. Beyond that the camera itself is great and does everything it claims to do. The app also works very well. If you need a camera and don't need to store the footage on the cloud then this is an excellent option. The app appears to support up to four of these cameras. For my purposes (an outdoor camera for security at my parents place) this camera worked out perfectly.

Great Camera and Support with online Chat session
I’ve had my camera for almost 2 years now. It has worked perfectly! Great picture quality and easy to use. Recently I experienced a really bad lightning strike very close to this camera. It was connected via WiFi and was not harmed by the event. This even blew out almost every Ethernet connect device that I had (4 routers, 4 switches, garage door openers, and two computers. It did NOT hurt the camera. Once I got the network back running, the camera re-connected without difficulty. I would recommend this camera.Also, I recently had an issue where I could not setup a second Defender Guard ID on a different phone and had to use their online chat capability. The support lady was very patient and worked through each set to quickly get to the solution. A very positive experience! BTW the problem was that when you sign up as a new user, after entering email and password that you want to use, there is a small line of text that you must click to “accept” their agreement. Then everything worked fine.

Solid performer
We purchased these after a recommendation from our daughter. Picture is very good and setup was easy. The only ever so slightly negative is the motion sensitivity. It is very sensitive. The sensitivity is adjustable, but still quite sensitive on the lowest setting. User can also adjust the target area, so that with some fine tuning there I should be able to get to the point of getting just needed notification. But I’d rather have a camera that picks up too much, rather than too little. I’ll also note that my daughters cameras came through the Texas ice, snow, and single digit temperatures just fine.

WIFI connection - camera so far...
So, I had a heck of a time figuring out how to connect the camera to my wifi. I'm a tech pro and with my wifi, the camera wouldn't login to the network. I had to physically hook the camera to a direct internet connection with network cable. That allowed my app on Andriod to see the camera and the connection was made. As soon as I disconnected the network cable, the app prompted me to login to the WIFI. Amazingly, it all worked from there. I'm not sure what caused my issue.The camera itself looks fine and seems to perform well. Viewing it through the interface seems to be straight forward.I'll post an update at a later time...

Way better than Arlo!
This camera has fixed every problem I had with my preexisting Arlo cameras. It has a good picture and the app is user friendly. I just purchased a second one for the back of my house!

SD CARD LOST INSIDE
Seems to be a decent camera and video quality seems good, haven’t tried it at night yet. So here’s the problem, I took out the SD Card to replace with a larger size. The slot design is extremely poor, it’s so small and dark you can’t really see it, so I put the card in thinking it was ok but it actually went into the space and void just below the slot that you can’t really see and now the SD Card is lost inside and there’s no way to open up the camera and retrieve it. It’s gone! Very poor quality design and placement for the slot, needs a redesign. I called customer service to get a replacement and I was told they couldn’t send one, that I’ll get a refund and have to reorder. In 1 day there was a price increase of over $30 so I’ll be going to Best Buy. Very disappointing.Update Dec 16, 2020: so I finally set up my camera only to have it constantly drop the connection to wifi. In order to reset the camera I have to have someone go up the ladder, remove it from the pole it sits on, remove the cover and screws to access the reset button. Then put it all together again after several attempts to connect it to wifi only to do it all over again 5 days later. My wifi reach is over 150 feet and this camera is less than 50 feet away. I have both Arlo and Wyze and never have an issue with those cameras disconnecting, in fact I can restart Wyze from the app on my iPhone, I don’t have to remove it and unscrew the cap to access the reset button. The other issue is the size of the video icons on the app, too small to see anything. You have to view each recording to see what was captured. I appreciate that I don’t have to pay for cloud storage with this camera but I would expect better from this product.

Don't waste your money
Defender camera stopped working within 8 months and customer service ignored my emails and didn't solve the problem

Simple set up, works well
Set up is simple. Only works on 2.4 gHz, not 5 gHz Motion detection is very sensitive, otherwise fits my needs perfectly
