Wow, I did not know what a difference these gaiters would make in my Mom's life and it almost made me cry. I bought them on a whim since I like to put my hair back to clean my face at night. I already had one but wanted some nicer looking ones. Opened the pack today and pinned my hair up, added a gaiter as a head scarf and went to see my Mom. She is recovering from cancer and lost all her hair. When I walked in she was wearing an old ball hat. She said her head is always cold with no hair and at night she puts a washcloth over her bald head to keep it from freezing. Well, I yanked that gaiter right off and handed it to her. I explained how to wear it to cover her head at night and she was so happy!!! She did not know what gaiters were and was so glad to have something nice looking to wear during the day and while she slept. Honestly, I almost cried. Something so simple could be such a life saver for someone who needed just that thing. And yes, I am taking more to her.

I use these more than I would have thought. I have a grass/dust allergy, so the dust from mowing and trimming always leaves me congested and sneezing for the following day of two. I needed something to help filter the air that I breathe, without looking like I was trying to avoid a chemical warfare attack. I had my doubts that these would offer enough filtration. Much to my surprise, they work great for me! I use one as a headband to collect sweat and prevent it from getting on my prescription glasses and into my eyes. I use another as a face mask that also protects much of my face and neck from the sun. Add a ballcap and hearing protection and I am all set. If you dampen them a bit before using them, you also get some evaporative cooling. I no longer mow or trim without these. I use one as a headband for almost all of my outdoor summer chores now. If you wear prescription glasses, you understand the battle of keeping your glasses on and clean when you are working up a good sweat. These soak up the sweat and also help hold your glasses in place, on your ears.

They work great for keeping me cool (for awhile) when I'm outside in the Arizona heat, as well as for keeping the sun off my skin. Alas, being Arizona and super dry, even if you have these things dripping wet, they will become bone-dry within 10 minutes of riding on a bicycle in 100-degree heat. Only solution is to carry an extra bottle of water to pour on them to re-soak and put 'em back on once they dry out.Also, when they're dry, the material feels kind of scratchy on my skin, especially on my face. Like, VERY scratchy, almost like wool or something, even after I've run them through the laundry with fabric softener. Using it as a balaclava, it feels almost like I've got a sheet of fiberglass wrapped around my head - super scratchy on my lips. Additionally, it's kinda hard to breathe through if you're doing anything physically intense, so it doesn't work so great for covering your mouth if you're trying to keep the sun off your lower face.They are pretty handy, though. Works best for me as a neck gaiter and as a head wrap, so the only part I need sunscreen on is my face. Considering how many you get and how cheap they are, they're a pretty awesome deal, overall.

I get really red when out in the sun and I saw the guys that work for the city of San Diego wearing these and I also saw an ad on Facebook for the neck gaiters so I decided to purchase some. The packaging is neat and simple the material is super soft. I work in landscaping and bought these as sun and dust protection they are great I wear one everyday. Not as good as the n95 dust masks from 3m for respiratory purposes but they get the job done, plus my face doesnt get all dirty and burnt from the sun.

I love that these come in a 6 pack for so cheap! They feel just as good and breathable as any other buffs that I have. They come individually wrapped and the plastic wrapping shows ideas of how you can use them (picture added of both). I like using them as head cover when I don't want to wear a hat because it is too hot. They also keep you warmer when it is cool out. I am already looking at getting more styles! I like these a lot! They are thin, but warm enough to keep the air from blowing under my neck and around my motorcycle helmet. Also, by purchasing 6 items, I always have clean ones. They are very easy to care for and air dry fast! I would recommend these neck gators to anyone.

Wanted to love this but i found they were too long. I cut them in half. I have a larger head lol but these slipdown and arent tight. I had to pin the bavk to keep it put. Maybe thats what its supposed to be like but they weren't very helpful to me. I was looking for a comfortable headband to wear to gym/yoga and riding on the back of my husbands motorcycle.. ill be ordering something else unfortunately..
