LOVE it!!
First thing first, i give customer service five stars. The first pot I received had issue and I reached out to Ancientcookware. They were prompt to response and send out replacement. The pot is amazing, I cooked in it twice and flavor was amazing. Its been years since I ate something this flavor full! It takes a few days to prep the pot but thats the nature of clay pots. It comes with instructions on how to prep it so thats helpful. Cleaning is easy too. If you enjoy flavors of ancient cooking methods, I highly recommend this pot! Its bit pricy but the investment is absolutely worth it.

Bit pricey but good
Didn’t understand why the bottom got black from first time cooking and it had a weird smell when I started cooking.. but at the end the taste of the chicken curry was good

craftmanship
was watching a review video from another customer where the lid didn't even stay on, I must of got that same pot.. haha ...I wanted a pot that was natural clay and not enameled and wasn't expecting the pot to be perfect symmetry but the pot looked like some kids pottery project at school...the mouth of the pot was crooked and the high points and the low points were almost half an inch difference...and the lid didn't even fit on top properly and even though there was a lip on the underside of the lid the lid could be slid off the pot without the lip catching rim of the pot...I seriously wasn't expecting the pot to be perfect like one would expect from a metal pot or even clay pot but this pot was too flawed...i wanted to cook fermented bamboo shoots in it because of the acidity and sour taste of the bamboo a metal pot made it taste weird that's why I bought this pot but for $35 it should of been crafted a little better...might of kept it if it was $15

A must have for the kitchen!
The first dish I made in this clay pot was black beans. They came out good, but I couldn’t tell if the pot made a difference. Next dish I made was chicken with potatoes and green peas. This recipe came out DELICIOUS! The chicken was moist and tender. The potatoes nicely flavored. All the flavors seemed more distinctive and robust.

It's OK!
The pot seemed very small. I have used it a few times and find it to be nothing special.

You have to buy this pot
Love this pot. I use it all the time. Actually improves the flavor of the food. I mainly cook beans in it with very little ingredients and it tastes amazing. This is my first one and I will always own and use this product. Could not be more happy
