We have had this for a month. I will update this review if my opinion changes.We had a Traeger for five years. The finish slowly peeled off of the outside and the tray below grill grate, the grease bucket fell apart, and we had to replace the thermostat several times.So far, this little grill is a dream. It feels more durable than the Traeger, more solid. It heats evenly. And it seems to use fewer pellets to maintain temperature. I am guessing that efficiency is partly due to heavier gauge exterior metal and smaller cook space. However, there are only the two of us. It easily held six fairly large pork chops. It also has a warmer rack, which is easily removed.We are full-time Rvers, so the removable cord is a fantastic feature. It is relatively light weight. We have used it on our Lifetime plastic folding table with no fear, as the bottom stays cool.All in all, this has been a great purchase for us and I highly recommend it.

Very good little grill! This grill is a smoking machine! Set on smoke and it holds 180 degrees with smoke just pouring out from the vents. Also has open flame option for searing and when using our cast iron.Perfect for camping. Easily stored. Hopper is perfect size for tailgate cooks.Great purchase! Glad I bought it and would recommend to anyone who loves grilling.

So I have been into smoking and grilling now for a few years. I have been trying all different fuel types and enjoy the ease of pellet grills. I bought this grill right before my wife and I went home to visit. It fit right into the trunk of our Honda. When we go home my buddies and I will always have some kind of cook off. This time it was spare ribs. The rack just fit diagonally on the grill. I use the 3-2-1 method for ribs and this grill ran strong the whole time. Not one issue. The ribs turned out perfect. The grill runs very, very quiet. I’d check on it to make sure it was ok because it was so quiet. I recommend this grill to everyone.

I spent my whole life of over sixty years seeking a grill/smoker that I needn't baby and sweat over the entire cook. I never dreamed that there was a machine of such advanced capabilities. It has a button to turn up or down the frequency of loading the wood pellets from the hopper. Did I mention the hopper? Put 3 1/2 lbs of pellets in there and it lasts all day. Because it fires with electricity, it can be controlled automatically. Turn the magic machine on with the lid raised (important), set the temperature, visit periodically to compare the actual temperature on the analogue thermometer (wind, temps, etc. can lower the temps below the digital setting) and raise your digital temp accordingly, and go about your business for the day. You can have fire if you want it, just slide the stainless steel cover away from the flame and char-grill to your hearts delight, or smoke with that little beast blowing smoke every couple of minutes to about every ten minutes according to how you set it. The beast is SOLID, but small. You can cook for one or two, and get a couple of slabs of ribs, a nice sized Boston Butt, a prime rib, four small chickens, two briskets, etc. SO you may cook for one, or a small party. Clean up is easy and convenient with all the parts fitting in the sink to scrub once you've finished.Did I say I REALL like this smoker? Highly recommended!

I fulltime in an RV and this is the way to grill. Simply turn on the knob, wait a few minutes, cook, turn off knob. Really! Interior drip plates are solid heavy gauge stainless steel. Heavy enough they will pobably outlast other components. Remove them to clean and vacuum the ash out, of which there is VERY little. These pellets burn completely, efficiently, and hot. And a bag of pellets will outlast a same weight bag of charcoal ten times over. Produces awesome smoke on smoke setting too. I was skeptical but am now convinced this is the way.

Perfect for motor homes, tailgating as long as you have power, highly recommended.

Although this is my first pellet smoker the ease of use is amazing! I have found that any temperature issues can likely be traced back to poor pellet quality. Pellets that breakup in the bag have powder dust which causes huge temperature spikes. The smoker it’s self is perfect for a couple, camping or small batches of things. We couldn’t be happier unless there was a cover offered for it.*****Update***** SHINESTAR CG306 Grill Cover fits perfect!!!!!!

Bought this while RV traveling and used it for a month loving it. When I moved I didn't store it properly and broke the temperature knob off. I figured I would have to pay for that but the five year warranty covered it and it arrived in two days with great instructions for installation. She did say that this was only covered once.
