The way the story twists and turns is written so well. Nonohara-Sensei doesn't fall into that troupe of making their heroine suffer for the storyline either, which is beat to death by other authors. Instead they cleverly weave the storyline to develop interesting plot twists that deepen the story instead of shallow character growth via suffering. Well, done, Sensei!

The first volume introduced the characters and fleshed out the world but didn’t provide much plot or action. Volume two adds some plot and some action but was clearly intended to set up Volume three.I like the main characters and the world enough that I will probably keep reading but the first two volumes progress really slowly and the habit of light novels to contain a lot of repetition is on full display in both volumes.

It strikes me as a pleasant slice of life with fun fantasy ideas. Not quite as exposition heavy as the first volume, but I would only recommended this to those who are adapted to the wandering narratives more common in slice of life stories.

The series is still very interesting and different in some ways but also familiar to other book series that I have read. I am about 65% through Vol. 3 and still find the books interesting enough to keep reading, but it is starting to get a little dry. I find that I need to put it down at times and read other books, I have 5 different series that I am reading at this time and looking to start a few more. Some of those series are at a standstill, waiting for new books to come out.

I expected more given how much i enjoyed the first novel. I feel like nearly everyone is playing the main character for a fool. Her existence is supposed to be a big secret but everyone deduced it so quickly with no fanfare. They also go on and on about her looks or lack thereof. It was quite irritating. The last 20% of the book felt rushed and the other 80% just dragged on. I might read the next one but I certainly won't preorder or put it high on my must reads.

This volume is just as wonderfully charming as the first volume, I highly recommend it. Also, it's not an issekai.

Continuing on with the more laidback atmosphere, I would of thought that it wouldn't still work as we get into more dramatic situations and yet it just felt natural but was still able to display some tensions when the drama ramped up. I'm quite curious to see what hijinks happen next.

The story picks up right about where it left off. More of the side characters are developed along with new ones and the depths are explored. There are a couple of places that might be foreshadowing of what could come but no idea how they will develop. Really looking forward to the next installment.

Volume 2 of this light novel series is just as enjoyable as the first - which is to say, Incredibly enjoyable!Many of the characters from the first book return - with revelations, complexities and secrets slowly unpeeled.New characters are also introduced in this book as well as additional worldbuilding.I'm really loving this series so far and I instabuyed this book before I had even finished the first volume. I can't wait for volume 3!

Im zweiten Band geht es viel um die Personen, denen Mariela und Sieg bisher begegnet sind. Das ist aber nicht schlecht sondern hilft das Umfeld der Alchemistin besser kennen zu lernen. Außerdem wird ein kleiner Teil der Geschichte erzählt, was in den 200 Jahren seit der Stampede passiert ist.Insgesamt hat es sich gut gelesen und ich freue mich auf die Fortsetzung.

Die Geschichte ist zwar nicht sehr spannend, aber dafür wird eine sehr interessante Welt mit sehr sympathischen Protagonisten entworfen und ich bin schon sehr gespannt wie es weiter gehen wird. Ich bin vor allem gespannt, was aus dem Traum von Mariella über ein ruhiges Stadtleben werden wird. Ich vermute mal, dass ihr Traum ein Traum bleiben wird und sich die Geschehnisse in den nächsten Bänden sehr stark verändern werden.
