Black Chrome Reversible Ratchet Wrench 1/2" x 9/16" - Spline

Ordered this to replace a proto j1193-A that I misplaced at work. :( I work in a compact loader assembly plant and use a 9/16 wrench all the time and 1/2 here and there so a combo wrench has been a dream for keeping in my pocket. Description of this wrench is misleading. It says the heads are 0 offset, which happens to be false. See attached pics. Still a great wrench by all means, after all it is proto! I will definitely be keeping to add to my collection. But if you’re looking for a straight 1/2 & 9/16 combo wrench try the other one I mentioned. I’ve already ordered 2 more of those to have on hand!

This is a well built and works perfect for my needs. I use it on our batteries for our Travel Trailer, and it works great!

I was let down at first once I opened the package and discovered that both ends are angled but that does make it easier on your hands.The ratchet works great and is very strong. The splines grab nicely and do not slip. Due to the angle of the handle when you’re pulling on a fastener it causes the splines to twist on the fastener unless you’re compensating somehow.

This is probably a tool practically nobody needs -- a 1/2 inch ratchet and a 9/16 ratchet in a single tool. But I volunteer with an animal rescue group that frequently holds adoption events where we set up over 100 walk-in kennels for the weekend. Some of the kennel clamps have 1/2 inch nuts and some, 9/16 inch nuts. Now I can tighten both with a single tool. Changing sockets on my portable electric impact driver is still faster, but not by much.

I do millright construction this little badass wrench is a miracle! My favorite tool!
