Michael Bond Paddington Series Collection 13 Books Set Paperback – 1 Jan. 2014

These books were delivered quickly and look great. They make a nice set and will take some time to work through. Definitely recommended for any fans of Paddington. The pencil drawings are nice too.

Every child loves bears: we had Winnie the Pooh, Rupert, Sooty, and then A Bear Called Paddington. This one is different though: instead of having his own little world and his own friends, he finds his way into the human world and lives alongside his adoptive family. The stories are classics: I must have read them dozens of times as a child and I'm now enjoying them again: I had only the first five books, and I'm finding that I'm still well-nigh word perfect. The later books are a pleasure to come which I hadn't previously experienced. Don't think you have to buy these for a child - buy them for yourself (without shame) as true classics can be enjoyed at any age.

My daughter loves the stories. There is a nice simple, predictable structure to each chapter so my daughter knows what to expect; the first half introduces the new event, the second half something goes wrong but turns out well.

As an adult wanting to revisit a childhood favourite, these are excellent and the set is a bargain. The films are great but it's really good to revisit the real thing and the character of Paddington in the books is actually stronger and simpler than his film adaptation. A charming world, beautifully written and illustrated. Beyond criticism really.

Always a winner. All the original stories as well as some more modern ones I hadn't heard.Great reading aloud material. Lots of vocab and things to discuss - with a few chuckles on the way.Wanted to read them to the child before the film becomes ubiquitous and overwrites the original.

This is the complete set of Paddington books (apart from the final book, which is due for publication in June 2018, written especially for the Queens jubilee and published posthumously) for an absolute bargain price. A wonderful gift for any child and definitely one for any collection. The books arrived quickly and are a delight.

If you are starting a Paddington collection, this is the way to go. I purchased this set new for less than half of what it would have cost to buy the books individually. Since it was not a Prime purchase, I went with a seller (St. Stephen's) that I had luck with in the past. The books arrived in great condition ten days sooner than the earliest estimated arrival date. Now the younger children can enjoy Paddington's adventures for years to come.

I bought these books for my 9 years old daughter and she loves them. I strongly recommend these stories specifically for children but honestly I enjoy them too when reading them to her!

Arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I think they're slightly more expensive now I paid $50 for the set, which works out to about $3.80 per book.
