I've finally had a chance to use these and my original assessment was correct, these are good quality clipboards. They are a bit pricey compared to what I'm used to, but they are handsome and so far, have proven to be as sturdy as any of the usual particle board clip boards I've used. I like the low profile clip because I often stack multiple boards and these are better for that. The wood has a woodgrain texture and could be a problem if using a single sheet of paper to write on, but I usually use note pads or notebooks, so not a problem. I bought some plastic ones a few months ago and found that they bend easily and sometimes, that's a real annoyance. No more of those! A minor note, the wood grain on what I received is vertical and not horizontal as in the seller's photo, if that matters.

Wow, something that is made with quality. The board on this clipboard is very thick. (3/16” or 5mm by my crude measurement.) I would much rather spend a little more for something what works better and last longer. The clip on the board seems to be the same as on others, it is working fine. It looks like the pictures and feels very heavy duty. I will be buying more.
