MARMOT Women’s Montreaux Full-Length Parka | Down-Insulated, Water-Resistant, Jet Black, X-Large

I live in Chicago, so you know Winters are no joke. I currently own a few North Face Arctic Parka’s, which has been great, but I wanted a longer jacket with more full power due to the artic blast we had last year. After researching for many hours, this was the overall recommendation. I ordered a size up based on reviews and it fits perfectly for sweater. It’s not too puffy, the hood has elastic to close the hood to wind and it has a soft fleece lining at the cuffs as well as the inside upper chest area. There is also 2 inside pockets near the chest and the pockets are lined. The only slight concern I have is the the durability of the thin fabric, but I’m using this for commuting so it should be ok. I’ll update my review once true Winter hits-which typically is in the -10 to -20 range with windchill.

Based on customer reviews I sized up. Everything was good until I tried to zip over my chest and it was a no go. (I was only wearing a tank top, nothing bulky) For reference, I’m not overly huge (38C). Overall length was good, sleeves included. Bummer. It appeared to be a good quality jacket and warm.

I had the fight of my life with Amazon because I bought this jacket and then the next day Amazon put it on sale for like $60 off an refused to price match themselves. So I ordered it again at the sale price and then returned the first one. Not pleased with Amazons lack of customer service, but very pleased with the jacket. The inner sleeves are some fleecy type of stuff so they don't freeze your arms when you put it on AND it makes a cuff under the wrist of your sleeve so that nothing gets in there.The Caveat: I measure in at 5'7", I am between 145 to 150 LBS, my bust is 38", waist is 30" and hips are 40-41". I normally wear a medium T shirt and size up to a large jacket because my arms are kinda long for my body.I got an XL in this jacket and it fits great! its not a fitted style. So you wont look like you're wearing a cinched waist trench coat, but thats OK because you aren't... You're literally wearing a down parka because you're cold so embrace it. I have never purchased anything in an XL in my life and I decided to do so because I watched a youtube video that I found by entering the jacket name and size. I saw the lady try on an XL and it looked smaller that I expected so I decided to wing it and return if it didn't fit. If you take the fur trim thing off of the hood, the hood won't deep enough to wear really. I can positively confirm this because I have an absolutely tiny head and it still wasn't deep enough to stay on my head well without the fur. Good news is the fur will probably grow on you once you find out that it keeps snow out of your face REALLY well.The arms also have little fleece cuffs inside of the

The coat is beautiful inside and out but runs small. I recommend ordering a size or two up. If you’re petite like me, the arms my be a bit long but overall it doesn’t bother me and keeps me very warm in my New England weather!

I’m 5’7” 210-220 lbs woman with DD and the XL is decent fit. I would love to buy the XXL. It’s definitely NOT that long. But it’s very warm. (I own the exact same jacket in green but it’s filthy.)!

Jacket goes below the knees to keep you warm. Fits well with extra sweater under it.

Maaaan I wanted to love this jacket. I'm normally a medium but decided to size up to large. Fit was fine in the arms and chest but it fit weird in the hips... it did not feel tight but it *looked* tight... not flattering. So I decided to try the xl. The xl was massive. Huge arms, super loose everywhere. Felt like a little kid. Wish there was a large.5. Retuned to try something else.

Its nice and long and very warm. i have used it on colder days of -20 degree C and it keeps you warm.
