MUK. Haircare Style Stick 230IR

I don't ever write reviews, but i had to review this MUK straightener. It's like I have someone else's hair! I always assumed I wasn't using the right heat protectors, leave-in in conditioner etc. and that my hair is just damaged from the coloring (blonde) I put in it. It always seemed brittle and course after straightening, I knew I had a good straightener so it never crossed my mind that that was a factor I should change up. Then I stayed at The Cromwell in Vegas and my life will never be the same! They have one of these in every room and I almost still used my own, but decided to try the MUK and my hair has NEVER been this soft in my life! Not only it is straight, almost bouncy, smooth, and stays straight way longer, but most importantly- frizz free! In a bun, my hair just smoothly falls down over itself like healthy hair should, in the past my hairs would want to stick outward like each one was way too straight, not softly falling down. It's important to note that the GHD I had did not have temperature control, so while it straightened quickly high heat was definitely a factor for my thin hair (I'm sure it would be great for those with thicker hair), but that being said the other straighteners I've owned that did have temp control, were not nearly effective enough at the lower heat that I needed to use. This is the best of both worlds! The temp I can use with this is so much lower that what I used to use and does a way better job more quickly, while allowing my hair to be healthier! I'm sold- my new go to hair tool brand! Love love love and totally recommend.

This iron is on some other level. I thought that infra red strip was just there to look cool but my hair has NEVER been shinier. This brand and this flat iron are SOOOO underrated and this iron really deserves recognition. Better than both my CHI, GHD Eclipse and BabyLiss by MILES. Leaves my hair so soft and with a shine I never even thought was possible, this somehow applies shine to your hair. Not to mention it heats up in literally seconds to an incredible amount of heat that is evenly distributed throughout your hair without crisping it or making smoke come out. It is small, sleek and weightless unlike my Babyliss and it glides through your hair. I'll update with pictures later because I am just in awe at this iron, truly a technological miracle. I just hope it lasts a long time, but even if it doesn't I won't pass on getting another one.

I purchased this via Amazon after staying at The Cromwell in Las Vegas. They have them in their rooms and it is the best ever for difficult hair. My hair is frizzy and curly and most straighteners do nothing for my hair. This leaves it not only straight, but shiny too. It does it fast. I don't like to spend much time doing my hair and thus a drawer full of unused wands and curling irons and other things that I don't use. This will stay out as I can do my thick hair in 10 minutes. My 19 year old daughter also wants one now.My husband's reaction was " you spent how much on that?" , but it was worth it to get a good wand. I can't wait to try some of MUK's other products now.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned you will need an adapter for the plug on this product. I was disappointed this was not mentioned in the description. It seems very inconvenient. I will have to buy an adapter now. Just to let everyone else know who may be considering this product.

My hairdresser uses this product in the salon and recommended it when I complained that my current straightener did not do the job. This flat iron heat so quickly and to such a high temperature that it makes it easy to quickly tame my hair in the morning. The curved sides eliminate the seams that I was seeing in my hair. Love this iron!

I first tried this at The Cromwell in Vegas. They had this iron in our room. I LOVED it and came home and ordered it! I have used the Chi for many, many years and this smoothes my hair a lot better. Heats up super fast. This price is also good, I saw some on eBay for over $200.

After trying this model out at The Cromwell, Las Vegas, I fell in love with this unit, heats increments to 450 and for thick wavy hair it's so nice. Cuts hair prep time in half.

Love this straightener! It's the best one I've used.

Not working on universal voltage

I have a 15 year old MUK still going, but purchased a new one to upgrade and it is just that. Smooth, nice and hot, quick heat up time. Very happy.
