How does it work Turn on the transmitter, and it would emit a 433Hz radio signal around your house. Your pet wears a light weight receiver collar which keeps connecting with signals from transmitter. Your dog could enjoy his time freely in the signal covered area, and when he try to walk close to edge of the signal covered area, the receiver would deliver a series of corrections to force him to get back. 2. Correction system 1. Pre-correction warning tone: when the dog reaches the edge of the signal field it will hear a warning tone that lasts about two seconds. If the dog does not return to the safe area it will receive a continuous correction by warning tone static shock until it returns to the safe area. 2. Run-through prevention: the receiver automatically increases the correction as the dog enters the signal field. The dog cannot “run through” the signal field without receiving strong correction 3. Set up collar receiver Before first using our Rechargeable and Waterproof Collar Receiver please make sure charging it at least 4 hours. Turning on the power button on the receiver and the red LED light will turn on. When the indicator light turns flashing red it means battery is running down and needs to be recharged.

Don’t buy this piece of cheep crap!!
I wish there was a way to put zero stars. This product was a nightmare!! From day one. Setting the boundary was hard and confusing. Then once it was set I tried training my smart and fearless Cavalier King Charles and it was horrible. The stupid collar would just randomly beep and he would panic. When I took him out and he would reach the boundary he would panic and keep running. Even once I got him to come to me as soon as the beeping started, when I left he would come looking for me and start getting shocked and keep running! The shocks wouldn’t stop. My neighbor found him on the side of the road screaming in pain and terror. And it wouldn’t stop. It kept shocking even when she got him back within the perimeter. Even many minutes after she got the collar back in the perimeter!! This product is complete crap. I’m so angry. My sweet dogs whole personality has changed. He’s fearful and nervous. Don’t buy this piece of crap!!

Cheap. You Get What You Pay For
I do not understand why this product is highly rated. We borrowed a different brand of wireless containment system from a friend for our puppy for a few months but went with this one because it was less expensive and thought it would still do the trick . . . WRONG! Despite setting up the perimeter, our dog often gets beeped randomly, even when he is in the house just several feet from the sensor, even when the collar is fully charged. It is very random. The system is correctly installed. The collar strap is a cheap plastic / vinyl strap with a buckle that is very inconvenient to place on or remove from our dog when he needs to leave the home with us. I am personally very suspicious of the other high rankings on this product.

Didn't work at all for us :-(
Based on the solid reviews and almost 5 stars, we purchased this unit. Unfortunately, it didn't work at all for us. We found that the boundaries weren't following a consistent circle as they should but more of a wavy line pattern that varied drastically even when changing the number on the base by only one digit. On one side of our house it was going along nicely and the suddenly lost the signal completely. It seems to work well for others, but we had to return it.

Malfunctioned and Dangerous
This Focuser Electric Wirekess Dog Fence is not safe. I read the reviews, all 5 star. I ordered one, and had to exchange it for another on. I read and re-read the instructions and made sure I was ready to begin using this with my baby. I don't know that the dog fence ever worked properly, but I do know that it malfunctioned with my four legged baby inside our house door, not four feet away from the control box. The collar went off and shocked my baby, and he just started screeching and yelping in a very painful way. I had to cut the collar off of his neck. He bit me, because he was protecting himself and didn't know what to do! I unplugged the main unit, because I couldn't turn it off. The collar continued to go off, buzzing, in that horrific shocking beep sound! I was able to video this. It finally stopped. Meanwhile, my four legged baby is in shock and scared. I have a bite on my leg with a huge bruise still at this writing.

Horrible!!!
Just like all the reviews I now see.... this is GARBAGE!!! I am so upset with this purchase. Before I bought this collar I read the reviews and just about all of them were praising this dog fence system saying it was wonderful. After I got around to setting up the flags - which was a total pain in the ass to figure out where the boundaries were because it was not consistent AT ALL, I put the collar on my dog and thought it would work out fine based off the reviews. NOPE, my dog would hear the beeps and get shocked at random places outside and even indoors. She was so scared to have that collar on. She didnt want to go outside, she didnt even want to move around inside the house when that was on. I went back to the reviews to see if anyone was having the same issues.. I tried to re pair the devices like some suggested and that didnt help what so ever. The reviews for this collar from the past two months have all been terrible stories like my own of having their poor dogs shocked for no reason. I have never been so disappointed in a product before like this. I hope amazon can fix all the fake reviews on this garbage wireless fence.

I was very disappointed.
I had to return this item because of erratic operation. I tried to get it to work but really could not trust it with my dog after testing it. Supposedly it sends a circular signal, the transmitter at the center, that causes a slight electric shock from the collar when your dog crosses the perimeter of the circle. I held it in my hand and found #1 the perimeter would change position, #2 sometimes it just didn't perform the shock and sometimes it wouldn't stop shocking. I'm worried this device would just torture the animal. No thanks.

All around a piece of junk
I use this on my German Shepherd. First off, when i bought this it had nothing but 5 star reviews( im sure they were paid for). It arrived no issue, when i got it out of the box there were absolutely no instruction on how to set up or operate the device and they used the same copy/paste line for 'thank you for your purchase' on 5 different articles of paper.The range on the home base has ZERO description of what the numbers represent. Just 1-100 and you have to manually walk around to find the range for number you have it set to.After applying the collar and setting up the range, the collar simply DID NOT RESPOND to the range. He would come and go as he pleased even on a very short range. About 2/10 times it would actually beep when i THOUGHT i was at the end of the range (who knows there is literally no key for what number represent how many feet) It RANDOMLY beeps no matter where he is at, sitting right on the front porch or walking with me during yard work.My dog became very scared of the device because he knew the damn thing beeped randomly when he was doing nothing wrong. He became so scared he would not leave the porch no matter what. He would look at me like 'why did you zap me i was just walking with you' he started to not trust me.DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!!!!
