This is a great little reader that - out of the box - took maybe a couple of minutes to set up. It is light weight and easily able to be held in one hand for long reading sessions. The page turn buttons are on the bottom which I found more comfortable to use than a reader with them on the side. The screen is crisp and responsive with even lighting. The thing I like the best is that when you slide your finger up and down the right side it adjusts the screen light and sliding your finger on the left side adjusts the warm light. This means you can keep reading while you are making the adjustments. There are a lot of customizations you can make including having the cover of the book you are currently reading on the sleep screen. This reader when first turned on comes very quickly awake which means there is no long wait before you can start reading again. If you download the Pocketbook app on your ipad or computer you can easily add books to this device. Very, very happy with this reader.

I wanted to get my children Ereaders, but did not want them connected to the net or any store. I did not want internet connection for the devices, or ads of any sort, so chose this Pocketbook. I am so pleased with them--I bought two.They connect to my PC for transfer of Epub formatted books, and are working perfectly!The only feature I desperately wish it had was text-to-speech for the menus too, not just for reading the books. I hope PB will add that soon!I plan to upgrade to the color Pocketbook model, once I see that my kids are responsible with these.

The PocketBook Touch HD 3 is a very good reader, but support or help for the United States user is very hard to get. I have other readers from Kindle, Nook, Kobo and their e-Book stores are very easy to purchase and load books on their units. PocketBook is focused on the European market, the process to get e-books is not as straightforward. Unfortunately it is going back.

Tried a couple kindles, never loved them. This thing is just about perfect. Very well built and customizable.The best part is that I'm reading more than I have in years.

I don't seem to have an y problem loading apps on to other devices but this thing.......I have had no luck what so ever! Maneuvering on this is a true test of patience......I paid top dollar but will sell for $20 in a heartbeat! There are other device far more user friendly than this....stay away!!!

Screen broke after just over a month. I've owned numerous Kindles over years and never had this issue. The Pocketbook is super thin and light, but that has clearly come at the cost of structural integrity. A gentle fall off a table previously also popped the back panel of the device off. The screen broke after being in a back pocket and walking around (not being sat on or dropped).Also, the device takes approximately 6 seconds to turn on when in sleep mode (not from full power off). Compared to the Kindle's nearly instant power on, this is pretty unacceptable.All that said, the adjustable temperature light is great, and the touch screen works very well. And as mentioned, the device is wonderfully light and thing. Only other thing I'd change is make the touch screen flush with the device face. It is slightly recessed making touching the very edge of the screen somewhat tricky.

Czytnik bardzo dobrej jakości, możliwość zmiany barwy koloru podświetlenia na cieplejszą, pozwala na czytanie w nocy, bez męczenia oczu! Lekki, super leży w dłoni, jakoś wykonania bez zastrzeżeń! Jako zwolenniczka papierowych książek, bardzo szybko przekonałam się do Pocketbooka i nie zamieniłabym go na żaden inny. Bateria trzyma długo, jak w opisie, prosty w obsłudze. Polecam bardzo! To świetny wybór i doskonały produkt na lata! :)

J'ai commandé cette liseuse reconditionnée par Amazon il y a déjà quelques mois, la batterie tient toujours super bien, son état est impeccable, elle est jolie et très agréable d'utilisation. Je ne m'en passe plus ! La version internationale ne me pose aucun soucis et il y a pleins de langues à disposition dedans. Par contre, le dictionnaire pour avoir la définition d'un mot est en anglais. Si vous souhaitez seulement traduire un mot anglais vers un mot français par exemple, pas de soucis.Cependant attention, j'ai eu la mauvaise expérience de commander cette liseuse reconditionnée une 1ère fois, sur la description du produit il est spécifié qu'elle est étanche (neuve). J'ai donc contacté le support Amazon pour savoir si cette liseuse reconditionnée était étanche... On m'a dit que oui, je pouvais la mettre sous l'eau. Malheureusement, ça s'est mal terminé pour la liseuse et il a fallu que je la renvoie et que j'en recommande une autre. Tout ça pour dire que, même si l'on vous assure qu'elle peut aller sous l'eau, finalement, passer votre chemin...!
