How are you supposed to move it? It says not to lift it by the pole but there's no wheels or anywhere to get your fingers under.

I used a small handcart and used the pole to tilt slightly so the handcart could slide under.

Is the hardware stainless?

The screw is stainless. The tube is some kind of painted metal.

What is the diameter of the base?

I do not like this base. The ones I have bought at outdoor patio stores are much better.

Arrived Damaged

Base arrived packaged in styrofoam on one side only and had two major dents. Extending pole would not screw in straight as the screw is crooked. I have reached out to the manufacturer, so awaiting a response as of this writing. Will provide update.
