The Aginova iCelsius Digital Thermometer with 1" Probe (30 pin connector iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch) is designed to convert the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch into a digital thermometer. Available for download from the app store, the ICELSIUS Digital Thermometer can read the temperature, create graphs, set up alerts, and store data and email graphs. A thermometer uses a liquid like mercury or alcohol to measure temperature which is provided as a Fahrenheit or Celsius reading, yet the Aginova ICELSIUS reacts much faster to changes, which enables it to provide temperature readings rapidly. The Aginova ICELSIUS and ICELSIUS PRO can provide accurate temperature readings up to the ranges of -22 °F to 302 °F (-30 °C to 150 °C) and can be used for various applications. When the Aginova iCelsius Pro is in thermal contact with matter, it uses a 4" stainless steel tip to report temperature readings through any iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch). The ICELSIUS uses a compact 1" steel tip.

Aginova iCelsius Digital Thermometer
The thermometer is very slow and not accurate. It helps if it is calibrated with a classic mercury thermometer. The nice thing about it is that it records the temperature continuously but as I said, one has to be aware of the time lag.
