My husband is very found of greyhounds so it was a beautiful gift. I was apprehensive at first because it is expensive for book ends. I was not disappointed by the product . They are beautiful and a decent size . I would recommended but prepare yourself to pay the price.

The bookends are very solid and heavy--well suited for holding a row of books. The workmanships is journeyman-like---a few slubs and whatnot but overall quite nice. The dogs are very well rendered, though my own greyhound is not likely to be found in a seated position (she prefers lying down and snoozing), but when she does sit it is quite elegant as are the poses of the dogs here. I'm very pleased with these!JTG

The good:Statues are gorgeous, and a perfect edition to my library as a bookend.The bad:Shipping/handling. I ordered two sets, both of which had one broken greyhound in them. I am still awaiting for the seller to get back to me about this issue. Hopefully I hear back from them soon - at which point I will be happy to update this.

These bookends feature greyhounds seated on Books. The figures of the grey hounds are well modeled and look elegant. The books the hounds are leaning against and seated on have gily edges which gives the bookends a bit of richness.The Bookends are 9 inches tall and heavy enought to support a shelf full of books.

I put these bookends on my desk in my classroom to hold my most-often-used books and even people who don't adore greyhounds (or even dogs) admire them. They please me.

Perfect to add to my greyhound collection. They are well made and look beautiful on my antique writing desk.
