I am a 64 year young female that loves doing home projects. This sander is perfect for my small hands and does not vibrate my hand to pieces when working for extended periods. It is easy to change the sandpaper and the on/off switch is easily accessible without fumbling to find it. My biggest challenge will be to convince my husband that it does not belong in his work truck!

I do everything on my own. I wait for no one. This little guy did the entire floor of a bedroom. It works wonders!! It's so easy to use.My only complaint is that it doesn't really suck the dust into the little bag. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I did what it said to do. Other than that, it's great!

After working with this sander several hours, I had to write a review. This is by far the most powerful and effective sander I own. Very efficient and it connected directly to our dust catcher without issue, very comfortable to use as well. The precut paper I ordered fits perfectly and does an amazing job from start to finish. I even threw away two other types of sander to open up space on my bench for this one. Worth every penny

Had one 20 years ago and no idea what happened to it. I used this one the day I got it to fix some doors that stick. I could of used something better but had a new toy and using this didn't take long to remove the old wood that had expanded on the end.Compared to the old Dewalt I had this had less vibration that reaches your hand and a little quieter. Dust collection is a new thing compared to my old one and it work pretty well. I just used the included bag and no vacuum attached. I took a 1/8th an inch off the end of two doors with just a single sheet of quality 3m paper.Great sander and I will be using it to completely refinish all of my doors. But I will recommend you to always use quality sandpaper and save yourself a lot of time and frustration.Others said they had issues with how the dust bag connected and I didn't have any issues. And I doubt I'd buy their attachment for a vacuum, I'd just make my own. Also it won't collect all the dust but it will collect most of it. Depending on the type of wood and or paint use a face mask and eye protection.

This is a great sander. It's a little difficult for me to get the sandpaper loaded but that's because I don't have a lot of strength in my hands - not the sander's fault. I have small hands and have no problem holding it. I really like the dust collection bag. Just know that you have to put it on with the word "Dewalt" facing left; push it in and turn it slightly clockwise. You'll feel it click into place. You definitely don't need any tape to hold it on. Another tip: I keep an awl in the little black bag. I load the sandpaper, then press the punch plate with the spikes against the sandpaper. That locates the exact right place for the holes but they aren't punched big enough to be effective. So I remove the plate and poke the awl into the tiny holes to make them a little larger so the dust goes into the collection bag very efficiently. Love this thing. Highly recommended!

First-off in general, I like 1/4 sheet sanders -- they hold the sandpaper better than sanders that rely on velcro. Second, this DeWalt is a honey! It is comfortable to hold, sands well. and the dust-catcher is cloth and works very well. Great design at a great price!

We needed a second palm sander for a kitchen renovation project. Our original dewalt palm sander used sticking paper, the new one uses clip on which we much prefer. Excellent use so far, but would like an extension adapter to fit into a standard vacuum hose to keep the dust down on the project which is in a kitchen where we live and cook.

The Dewalt DWE6411K palm sander does a great job as a finish sander - the reason I bought it. Sheet loading and changing is a breeze. Dust collection is superior to any sander I've used to date.The only issue is the proprietary dust port. I would rather hook up a standard small vacuum hose but can't do it. It just flops around in the opening. I now see that the port is of a configuration that you probably can't get an adapter that won't cost an arm and leg or be a kluge of several adapters strung together - can you spell duct tape? Dewalt did a superior job making this connection useless except for other Dewalt products. It's got locking joints, o-rings and even ball bearings in spring detents - masterfull! I can't figure out how they frenched the dust bag into this thing and am afraid I will break something trying to get it off to see what might be usefull under there... total frustration.A business model that forces customers to buy proprietary products and/or forces them to seek out alternatives to expensive proprietary products is foolish and will ultimately loose me as a customer.

Excellent quality as expected from dewalt, what is surprising is how close pricing wise it is to the hobby brands which are very obviously inferior to it. I would not hesitate to spend the extra few bucks to get this over a black and decker, skil, etc etc as you're going to have a very solid tool with no concerns about its long term reliability/usage.The retention mechanism for the paper is very simple and easy to use and align; and it also holds the paper firmly in place. The palm grip is very comfortable and the switch is in a very natural position even for my XL hands. One minor gripe would be the dust bag is a bit annoying to empty completely because of how it necks down at the fitting and dust getting hung up on the spring which makes the bag hold its shape. With some of the other brands you can actually completely open up the bag to give it a much better clean.

Es la segunda que compro, y cuando esta muera volveré a comprar otra igual. La eh trabajado hasta 2 horas sin parar. Se me hace mas barato comprar una hoja de lija y partirla en 4 que comprar un disco de lija. Siempre hay que sopletearla para extender su visa util al maximo. La primera que compre ya tiene desgaste en la almohadilla despues de año y medio. se la voy a cambiar. El motor sigue al 100 porque siempre le quito el polvo con una sopladora despues de trabajar. La recomiendo ampliamente, comprala no te vas a arrepentir

I got a custom built shelf that requires some sanding and found this little sander with many good reviews. It works really great, with good quality sanding papers.I started with some cheap sand papers, it went through one paper every minute. The sander is too power for thin paper. I got it better paper the next day. And it was a game changer. I used the same piece of paper for entire job to strip down 1/8” of 3 pieces of pine. Easy!The size of machine is good, it also fits small hands like mine.

En este modelo DeWalt cambio el sistema para sostener la lija lo cual la hizo más fácil de colocar y ya no se rompe la lija tan fácil como en modelos anteriores, al igual hace menos ruido. Viene con una plaquita para perforar la lija lo que le ayuda a succionar el aserrín, etc. y este caiga en el contenedor evitando que se disperse por todos lados.Cuando se utiliza en mueble de madera con talla, al acercarse a los rincones/esquinas se mantiene estable lo cual la hace fácil de maniobrar. Sin duda una buena compra y gran herramienta de trabajo.

When i received was not to keen on the paper clamping set up but when using found out that the set up actually tends to stretch ou the paper on the pad which is better then my old unit , The clamping is stiff to squeeze to put the paper in but i believe it has to be that snug to allow the paper to be help hold firm enough to keeep the paper drawn taght when you engage the other side of the sand paper , Please with the purchase , Now just to keep putting it to work !
