Love the design!!! really well thought out both in terms of materials (quality bamboo boards, counter sink holes for the screw heads to be hidden below the surface, proper hardware - 1” screws) as well as overall stability of the bookshelf (well proportioned, base wide and deep enough for the shelf not to tip over).This arrived well packed and every board wrapped in protective sheet, with illustrated instructions sheet that was easy to read and understand. Boards were clearly labeled, making assembly easier. Included screwdriver handle was too long to fit between the shelves (5” apart which is a pretty tight space), I had to find a shorter one to assemble this.Bookshelf looks great as a tabletop item as well as on the floor, and does have an impressive book holding capacity. Definitely recommend.

Tip to put together so you don't need a 2" screwdriver: start with the top shelf and work down, on a flat surface and assemble the shelves before you put on the back and base. Be mindful that the countersunk side faces the base and is the side you screw from and all boards have screw holes on one end to secure the back so make sure they all face the same way. Then turn it over so screw holes to the back face up and put the base in place and attach the back. Set it on, then line up all the holes and partially screw all the back screws on before going back and fully securing them. It really is very easy this way, just keep everything on a flat surface and put the screws in a small bowl so they don't roll away. All that said, the unit is great. It's lighter than the golden color pic shows. Works great to store makeup palettes and solved an unsightly storage problem I had. Looks great on the vanity now and supereasy to just grab the one I want. I like it and would recommend it. It's interesting to look at.

I bought this bookshelf for my college dorm, and it was pretty nice. It was smaller then I was expecting, but it worked out for the better. I found this harder then it needed to be to assemble. I couldn't figure it out the first few times I was assembling it. Eventually I got a friend to help me out and they were able to get it figured out in about 30 minutes.Overall, I think that this is a good product, but it could have been easier to assemble and could be a little bit sturdier.

I like that this shelf saves a bit of space on my over-crowded bookshelves. It gets lots of compliments, and it has held up nicely since I assembled in two months ago.But it is not easy to assemble, and you will need more tools than are provided, such as a socket wrench to tighten bolts in very small spaces.

The screws don’t go in because the previous board doesn’t leave enough space to use the screwdriver provided, and even when using my own tool (see pic) it was almost impossible to assemble. The screws are so hard to put in and the heads are such an odd size that my standard Phillips headed specialty driver didn’t fit them well and made my hands super sore and red after building. Seriously do not recommend this product!Update: so I bought multiple of this when I did my order and decided to try building it backwards (so started at the last step in the directions and worked to the first). This did fix the spacing issue but was kind of complicated and not all that easy… but it did work. Still not changing my rating as I feel this is a major design flaw.

This bookshelf is great for small spaces and looks nice. However…make sure you have a good set of stubby screwdrivers to assemble. The screwdriver that comes with this is too long for the spacing you will have to work with and too flimsy to put any torque on it. What should have taken me maybe 20-30 minutes took me several frustrating hours because of this. Total hassle to put together with included items. Bamboo shreds into sharp splinters, watch your hands!

I found the directions for assembly were easier if you followed them in backwards order (steps 10 to 1, instead of 1-10). It didn’t take too long, maybe 20 to 30 min. It looks great on my bedside table, and now I have plenty of room for my books without them being in a wobbly pile likely to topple. I may get another one for the living room.

First off- this shelf is amazing. It’s not particle board or feels like if it’s bears any weight it will collapse. Bravo, 5/5 for materials alone. It’s like a bamboo wood, thing but sturdy and solid. All the drill points for the screws were done accurately so it wasn’t janky and misaligned- over all it only took me about 15 minutes to put together!For assembly- they included a small screwdriver which was a nice gesture, but it was too small for the screw heads and too long to fit in between the shelves during install. While I appreciate that it was a real screwdriver/screws, not an Allen key like most furniture comes with now days- they could cut the size in half and it would actually fit between the shelves. So definitely be aware to have your own small handled Phillips head. I included a picture to show how my tiny one barely fit!Over all super impressed- I always have low expectations of buying things like this online, I always think it’s gonna be garbage materials or fall apart within a month. This item, I really don’t feel that way and can’t wait to stack my books on this!
