Emotional, humorous, and very entertaining
The fascination continues in the second Forgotten Dragons book, where a dragon shifter and human are very conflicted when it comes to their relationship. Though Xander may give the impression of a man who flirts with one woman after another, in reality, he is waiting on the individual who is his mate. Janet rarely dates and lives out her romantic fantasies through her steamy books, so she cannot figure out why the hunky male seems to want her in his life at all. What she does not realize about the person who constantly shows up around her is that there is much more to Xander than what she sees. Once again, Terry Bolryder makes her innovative world of dragon shifters not only original but also highly engaging. When the best friend of Janet Dixon starts dating a man, his twin brother, Xander, seems to be interested in her for some reason. Although he is certainly good-looking and keeps asking her out, she thinks he is the type of male who dates a variety of females and will never commit to just one. But the dragon shifter knows the stubbornly independent woman is the only one for him, and Xander is not going to give up without putting forth great effort to change her mind and make Janet his.DRAGON MEETS GIRL kept me captivated with situations which are sometimes humorous, often emotional, and always entertaining. While watching Xander try to convince Janet that he is sincere when it comes to his feelings about her, I also got to see these two experience a multitude of sentiments. They could be happy one moment then find themselves facing a challenging incident the next, and the author always made the events very realistic. It was easy for me to feel what was deep inside them, and I was worried at times about how each of them would react to any discussions or occurrences because I wanted Xander plus Janet to finally find the joy that has eluded them both. Personal issues abound in the story, and I liked the way in which Terry Bolryder had the couple work on these matters. There is plenty of heat between Janet and Xander, and they definitely know how to heat up a scene with enthusiastic sex. A character named Taylor was introduced in the story, and I hope this mysterious dragon shifter gets his own book.

Good second book in the series.
Written in third person with detailed sexual situations and adult language throughout. The POVs are from the main couple only. As with the first book there are several typos and name misplacements that distract from the flow of the story. The description states it is a stand alone story (I disagree - You should read the first one in the series before this one) I have come to understand that there is a series before this Forgotten Dragon series that may explain the 'world' that is prominent in this story... I have not read that series so I don't know if those books answer the questions this leaves unanswered or if it clarifies the situation so a reader would be less bewildered by things that seem to be 'normal' or taken in stride. I took a star for this reason alone. The typos are not overly prominent, but I did notice a couple... It was the name changes that disrupt the flow of the story for me. I counted two times that Kelsie's name was used but it should have been Janet's name; one was during a sexual encounter... also there as one time when it read Tristan and not Xander as it should have. I am taking one star for that.Janet's hangups got in the way of a relationship and made this story more of a pull on the heart strings towards the end. Though with her background the accepting of Xander and the whole relationship was very rushed - maybe more time lapsed that I thought. I think this story was better than the first one and gave way to hope for future books.I'm taking another star for the 'world' issues. Lots of things seem to be a given and never explained, things and situations come out of the blue with no one questioning anything that happens, they just go with it like it is normal, a paragraph of explanation would have fixed this whole; instead the writer seemed more important to put another sexual encounter in.The book was good, not great - with a little bit or some good advise from an editor or proofreader this story (and the rest in the series) could be wonderful.

When you least expect it.
Dragon meets Girl.By Terry BolryderParanormal of any kind has always been a favourite of mine, anything a little different will catch my eye.Terry Bolryder was one of the first Author’s I read in this genré, and even now many years later her book’s still catch me drawing me into the magical world she creates.I found myself chuckling at different scenes within the book as Xander meets his biggest challenge, Jan.She is a loving caring woman who has decided men should not be part of her life, not after the life she had experienced as a child. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would Meet someone just as stubborn as herself.Xander had found what he wants but if he thought getting his mate to accept him would be easy, he is in for a huge shock. This book is a tantilising read, with two very determined characters who have lived most of their lives alone. Can these two find something special between them, can they learn to open up and allow another in. Ms Bolryder had given us another challenging story, one where you wander if Xander’s wish will come true.Grab a copy and find out how these two strong willed people could possibly be friends never mind lover’s.

Good writing & storyline too short
The writing and storyline itself was good , a story that has all the 'feels' and some good laugh out loud moments , however, I only gave it 3 stars because the story was relatively short and ended at 90% , the rest was just fluffing , I felt cheated

SAD BEGININGS INTO GREAT TOMORROWS
I'm a softie so the fact that the twins had such a sad life and be so insular to both finding and keeping their mates was great. Another new set of dragons to watch over.
