Clymer Honda GL1200, 1984-1987: Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Repair (Clymer Motorcycle)

Lack's some information. Not as detailed as I was hoping. Still a decent manual for a novice.

Book has plenty of good information, I order a second hand book but came in worse condition than expected. But very useable. Front cover needed to be repaired and lots of grease marks inside especially in the carburetor section.

It had a lot of information, used it on repairing a Honda Gold wing motorcycle, It was a big help.

The manual arrived on time and in great shape. As a DIY guy, these are a must for what I own.

I recently purchased a 1985 GL1200 with a faulty starter. The manual was good for info to remove the starter, but for repairing the starter, the manual says "repairing the starter is best left to professionals" (!!!!) Are you kidding me??? I am a professional! Most good manuals, even some Clymer's give instruction for testing and inspecting the internal workings of various components. This was very disappointing! Will likely return it for a Honda manual. I gave 3 stars bc it is still useful, just not complete.

I'll put it this buy it has information the owners manual perfect it breaks it down to a where a normal person to understane

Great detail. Easy to follow. Essential for maintaining a older bike.

A few typos and poorly worded instructions but so far so good.

This is my second Clymer manual for motorcycles. As with the previous manual for my Honda CB650, this manual is equally well written and has easy to follow instructions and pictures. Indispensable book for understanding and maintaining your motorcycle. It is also a good selling feature when replacing your motorcycle for a newer one.
