The pump works great. If you dont need to transfer large amounts of oil, the item is awesome.

I used this little pump to suck out the oil and coolant that leaked out into the intake valley on a 2016 Cherokke when chaning the oil cooler. When the seals fail on the oil cooler, it starts to leak oil and the oil fills up all the little cavities on the top of the engine. Coolant leaks out too when you remove the cooler. Quite a messy job, but this little pump helped suck up all the fluids and get the engine cleaned up quick. I also have a boat that I plan on using this pump for oil changes too. Make sure you don't run this pump dry. It sounds like others have had problems. I read their reviews and didn't want to damage the pump so I primed it with a little oil before I started to use it so it was lubricated right away. It's probably wise to plan on adding a few drops of oil into the pump right before using it every time you need it if you want it to last a long time.

Worked great for the warm ATF extraction from my RAM. I would have liked to have the suction hose about 2 feet longer. It took nearly the entire length of the tube to get down the dipstick tube. I had to use a bungee cord to hold the pump in place due to the tube length. It was noisy, the fluid came out with bubbles. It took about 5 minutes to suck out one gallon of AFT. The good news is that I won't be spilling that gallon of ATF on my garage floor when I drop the pan to change the filter. The power cables were stretched to the max to get from the dipstick tube across the engine to the battery. Like someone else commented - get over that it is a cheap unit - it did the job for me!

I tried to pump 40w motor oil from an engine. It took a minute or so to prime and for the oil to reach the pump. Once the oil reached the pump, the motor slowed to a crawl, ran for another 20 seconds, stopped and started smoking.i disassembled the entire thing, and the motor was completely burned up. I’m an experienced mechanic and have used many of these oil exchange pumps in the past. This is by far the worst product I’ve ever bought on Amazon. DO NOT buy this product. You’re better off just throwing your money in the garbage

Simple to use, did exactly what I needed it to do

The instructions accompanying the pump were inadequate. One small page in tiny type consisting mostly of repeated warnings of what not to do with the pump. There were no assembly instructions for the parts included. The tubing was tightly wrapped in a coil. My first use I got less than a quart of oil out of the transmission. I figured that was because the pipe reverted to its coiled state when it reached the drain pan, missing most of the fluid. I am now attempting to straighten the intake tubing by storing it inside a rigid pipe.

Pump slow but worked well. Pump oil out of boat, about 1 qt. every 5 minuets. Motor got hot but stopped at 3 qt. let cool off then start pumping again.

Works great. I used it to pump automatic transmission fluid and transfer case fluid in my truck. Much better than a manual pump.
