A good product
Arrived on time as expected. Its a little more expensive than i wanted to go for, but i ended up buying three of these from different sellers n this was the one that worked the best. Sound quality could be a little better, but theres no gross crackle in the background like all other adaptors ive had do. A good little gadget

Works!
I really wish phones still had headphone jacks. But this seems like the solution. Headphones fit nice and firmly into the adaptor and the adaptor fits nice and firmly into the charging port. Seems to play fine and actually sounds pretty good on first listen.

Samsung usb to 3.5mm jack adapter
This geninue usb to 3.5mm adaptor enables headphones with 3.5mm jack to be used on Samsung mobile phone that only come with usb. Yes is more expensive than non branded (which I purchased first) only to find does not work. This geninue Samsung adaptor worked first time. Recommended.

Do not buy. 2 month lifespan...
The title says it all, really. The aim of these companies is to purposely create products of inferior quality that do the job just long enough so that you are past the return window and that your money is safely in their pockets.I need a 3.5mm jack to usb c converter because my Google Pixel did what every other company did and got rid of the earphone jack so you are pressured to either get their wireless buds or pay for an adapter. Are they fooling anyone at this point? We KNOW we have to buy these products because you went out of your way to add in an unnecessary step which doesn't innovate or inspire "courage" as Apple puts it that just so happens to make you a little more money.Perhaps some people cannot afford or want these Galaxy or Pixel buds and so must pay a sort of poor person's tax (the adaptor) to be able to use their inexpensive earphones/headphones.I guess you can buy cheaper wireless earphones but I feel sorry for those who will learn the hard way as they find they cannot compete with wired for any given price. Find me any so-called audiophile who will praise the wireless over the wired. My frustrations run deep with these gutter practises where creating a reliable and long lasting product is far less profitable than repeat purchases of the same product, only intentionally made worse in every way. How unbelievably wasteful these companies are yet the blame will always be put on the consumer somehow.I purchased the Google version of this item also and it barely lasted longer and has no audible effect on sound quality when compared to the Samsung converter. They are basically the same product with a different logo attached.I will be looking elsewhere for another cheaply made converter which I hope can last at least a year but if experience has taught me anything it is that I'd have better luck finding gold on the moon.

It works
Not much to say about this apart from it works well. I initially bought a cheap one that I had no idea wouldn't be compatible with my Samsung phone. It was purchased to connect my phone in my car so I could stream spotify or other music. Anyway, this one does the job and although it is a little expensive, it works.

Samsung going eco friendly again? I think not, got to love the greens...
So, like their friends in Cupertino, our large Korean conglomerate has decided that it makes the devices better for the environment if you don't have a TRRS connector (3.5mm Headphone socket to you and me) on your new phone because well you are doing the planet a favour, and the device can be smaller. If you want headphones then they also *sell* Bluetooth earbuds that you can *buy* that contain lithium, copper, gold, and all other natural resources that consume energy to make package ship, sell and use, or you can use your old earphones/buds/headphones with an adapter that you have to *buy* which they *sell* and package up, and ship to you.If the phones were green, you'd be able to change the battery with simple tools...Well under the guise of being green they sell more products and use more fuel in shipping and energy in packaging. Really you couldn't make it up.Onto this, the device allows you to plug an old set of headphones etc in, (meaning you are saving the planet), into your new phone, so you don't need to buy new. It works well and the sound is perfect when using it. I use it with a set of old Sennheiser CX300 II earbuds which sadly you can no longer get (unless they are counterfeit) and the sound is great. They could quite simply have bundled one of these adapters in the box with the phone, its small and doesn't weigh much but this you have to buy, so we can see where this is going, you don't even get a set of cabled headphones in the box with the right connector on it as you did before anymore either.I bought this direct from Amazon, I don't trust the sellers, I don't really want to put something in my ear canal connected to something else that can fry my braincells with a zillion volts made in a factory with little QA, I'm kind of funny like that, so it means you might have to wait as stock seems limited. Its also **grossly** overpriced for what it is, which is probably why the counterfeiters are all over it like a cheap suit. Good for the environment nah, good for Samsung's bottom line... Absolutely.
