Great coated Cable!
We hung several hundred feet of outdoor lights using this black coated cable wire. It's strong and well coated so it was easy for us to feed through the eyes/holes on the light cord. As needed, I'd definitely buy this again.

Works as a cloth-line with a condieration.
I have an umbrella type cloth-line so the runs are only 7 foot, regardless the old PVC covered copper line stretched and sagged under load. I refurbished the structure and it was time to put on new line. The reviews I read on cloth-line wire were underwhelming, low breakage strength and sagging being the typical complaint so I looked to PVC covered cable and found this.Despite the 1 negative review regarding the diameter; the outer diameter of the line is 3/32nds or close enough,. 3/32nds = .09375, as measured by digital caliper this cable outer diameter is .091. (see photo)The caveat is that while the only sag I see in my application is due to the tautness of the line stretch and the cable diameter is small enough that I was able to knot one end as a stop against the wire pull; the diameter of the cable is smaller than the old generic cloth-line which was 4/32nds and it is a little slippery for small notch in the cloths pin meant for the wire, so I doctored the cloth pins, I applied just a smidgen of Gorilla Glue to curve of the small notch of each cloths pin to roughen it and decrease the size of the notch. The cloth pin in the photo has a bit of JB Quick applied, good stuff but it sets up too rapidly and I could only do a few before it became unusable (good color contrast for the photo though). The Gorilla glue has a working application period several times longer than the JB Quick. Gorilla glue expands so don't over apply. The verdict: Doctoring the cloth pins was a bit of a pain but a one time job, the pins are working well, I have several loads of laundry on the line and the line is working great While my runs are short the cloths in the photo are wet (and heavy) and a couple of loads are strung.I'd buy this and do it all again as the result is much better than a line that sags and is prone to breaks. One end of the wire run I knotted (which I wouldn't trust without strain of the pull against it) and the other end I used a cable clamp.

Virtually invisible!
This stuff is awesome! used it to hang my grape vines up, and will do the raspberries next. It is virtually invisible in the garden which I love! And because it is stainless I expect long life out of this. Super happy so far.

Great for speedropes
Bought this replace the cable on my speedrope. It is better than the original. Love it.

Heavy duty and light weight
This cable is definitely heavy duty for a thin cable which makes it more difficult to tighten the loops. You have to tack your time with the loops. Works great with the string lighting that I purchases and is holding up very well in strong winds.

Vinyl Coating Pulls Off Easy
When you put tension on this cable the vinyl coating will break loose where you crimped the ferrules and your loop will come undone. Would only recommend for very light tension if you plan to crimp loops at the end.

Too thin for clothesline. Otherwise, product as advertised.
Not what I was expecting or thought that I was ordering. I thought I was getting clothesline, 1/4” thick. But that’s my fault for not reading the ad properly. What they send is exactly as they advertise and describe.
