ZWILLINGJ.A. Henckels 3" Paring Knife, 3", Black

Perfect weight, perfect fit in my arthritic hand. Like all paring knives, it has a sharp point to get the 'eyes' out of a potato, but it's the unique convex curve of the blade that makes peeling an apple or piece of celery precise and smooth. I have purchased other brands and been unhappy with knives too heavy, blades too thick and quickly dulled. From now on it is only Zwilling Henckel in my active kitchen. Well priced, they are also great gifts for the cooks in the family!

This is my third Zwilling Pro. First I bought a set of two chef’s knives. They are larger blades than I’m used to so I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to handle them. No worries! These knives are heavy, but PERFECTLY balanced so feel feather light in your hand. Plus, the design of the angled ridge in the steel where it meets the handle makes for a secure, comfortable grip. This little paring knife is razor sharp and a natural fit in the hand, easy to hold, easy to control. It’s amazing how my knife skills have improved with the right instruments! I highly recommend Zwilling Pro.

The pictures show both a 3" and a 4" ZWILLING J. A. Henckels Pro paring knife. Zwilling means twin in German. The logo in the picture is the twin emblem and is made in Germany. The 4" paring knife I received was from the Henckels International series. This knife had a single figure on the emblem and was made in India. Although the Henckels International series is a good quality series of knives, it is not the same quality as the Zwilling Pro series that is pictured. I returned the knife to Amazon. I have to say that although the knife was not as pictured, Amazon's return policy is amazingly simple and easy if you are near a UPS store. I would give Amazon's return policy 5 stars!

This knife is a beauty weighted perfecty nice grip perfect for pairing.

Very sharp and handle is comfortable.

It was a gift and I was replacing one my son had lost. He loves it and uses for many tasks in the kitchen.

This review is for the merchant who sold it, and for Amazon for letting things like this happen. I can't review the knife because I was never able to get the correct knife. I ordered, and expected to receive, a $50+ Zwilling Pro knife which is distinctive looking and is described and illustrated in the listing. The knife was sold by HarryBat and I instead received a Henckels International Solution Fine Edge knife which is listed on Amazon at $10.99. I promptly returned the wrong knife for the much better quality knife I was looking for only to be once again shipped the same inferior knife by merchant HarryBat! I quit and will take my money back. So, be warned if you want the top quality knife listed.

I like the wider width of the knife for some preparations. It’s sharp, easy to hold, and fits well in my hand. Excellent quality.
