I had difficulty getting the sub to link with the soundbar, but once I got through the pain barrier the results are outstanding. Super wide spasial sound that seems to come from nowhere. This is a great heart of a system for those in smaller places. It's not outstandingly loud, but is very adequate. The frequency response of the sub is spec.d at 28Hz so you do get that 'feel factor'. The overall sound quality is good. You need to use the app, either Android or Apple to set it up and get the most out of it. Without that you'd be lost. Download the better instructions from tinterweb too. It can easily be expanded to 5.1 just by buying a couple of extra Musiccast speakers, but the Yamaha ones are pricey. PC links to it, and the stereo audio mode is fine. In 3d mode you do feel as though you're part of the action.No, its not as good as buying a separate based system - decoder, amp, speakers etc, but for general purpose everyday TV and audio it's good.

I bought this and Bose 500. Yamaha have a too powerful bass and too low vocals. For my living room 4m x 5m Yamaha Subwoofer is too powerful. Bose win but is more expensive.

Well I finally took the leap & bought this.I have to admit that I was in two minds having seen some quite polarised reviews.I was aware that some people claimed a problem with lag showing up as lip movement not being synchronysed with the sound. I experienced this & solved it. Having doe that it's fantastic!I'm running this sound bar with an Apple TV 4K & a Panasonic 48" HD OLED telly & providing that you connect them up the right way round there is absolutely no sound delay.
