Disappointed but Happy
I would give this a 5 star rating if they would be more specific about “not including the hitch mounted par and hitch clamp” as shown (even on box). I revived it expecting the hitch kit, which was even shown on instructions on box, but when you open it up, you find instructions for drill and mounting straight to bumper. I started the return process thinking the hitch kit was missing. Later on another ad I found reference to the hitch kit being optional ( not stated on box or original purchase ad). That said, I am going to keep it and cut trailer hitch plug & exhaust adjustments as needed. Why, becouse this is on tough rock guard for protection of my Jeep Rubicon and it’s worth the effort. Just wish they were specific and call out the optional hitch mount with PN for easy ordering. But after getting it, I could not find a better product to replace it.

Very good replacement for my class A
I installed it on my old class A. Good quality. Strong . But It’s difficult to cut metal or rubber parts to adjust the width. I asked a pro mechanic to install it. He used big machines to cut them. Not for DIY thing.

Another way to install Rock Guard
I received my Rock Guard in a partially opened box with one of the angle iron pieces missing (the center one), plus no hardware. These probably fell out during shipping. Option was to return the whole thing. After a closer look at my RV, I realized that I did not need that center connecting rod anyway! Looks like most people hang the two sides over their hitch after connecting them together with the third rod, then with the "not included" bracket, attach that to the hitch. I was not able to do that on my coach because there was no room above the hitch to do that. I've seen other very creative people come up with others ways to attach these to their units, but it appeared that my only option was to connect to the rear bumper. Since I was not using it for sewer hose storage anyway, this was good with me, since there would be screws protruding into that space. (connected ends of my hose are too big to slide in). If you use your bumper to store your sewer hose, you can stop reading, but if you don't, check this out! So, I had the two angle irons for each side of the Rock Guards, but still needed screws, so I purchased the same 1/4 - 20 -1" bolts and large fender washers that it would have had, but purchased nylon insert locknuts instead. You can find these in bins at Lowe's for .13 cents each. These are to secure the rubber to the bracket. To attach the bracket to the bumper, I purchased sheet metal screws, plus two more of the 1/4"-20-1" bolts to use on each end, where you can reach into the bumper to secure the nut. I did need to cut both sides 3" to make room for my bumper mounted additional hitch (for bikes), but that also left plenty of room for my tow hitch for our tow car. I drilled holes underneath the bumper to mount the brackets, but angled them so they would look more like a trim piece or molding, and it really made this look great and very functional in keeping rock and debris from hitting our tow car or others behind us. Took a couple of hours to do, but I'm a Virgo, so everything has to be straight (it's a curse) What started out as a disappointing delivery, ended with a happy customer, so just wanted to share.

BIG TIME MESS UP.
I received the product earlier today Which has very quickly. Maybe to quickly. When I opened it, there was no hardware/parts in the box at all. No angle, hat shaped clamp, U channel, nuts and bolts. I needed the stone guard now and thank the Lord I had pieces in my shop to make do. Smart Solutions and Amazon messed up big time on this one.

This guard is rocking!
This is my second Rock Solid guard. This one is a lot sturdier than my first one…I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this one. It wasn’t any easier to install than the first one I had but is built much stronger. I am sure it will last the lifetime of my new Class C RV.

Not a universal set up.
It is designed to mount on a flat surface. No such thing on a standard Pick-Up Truck bumper. STRONGLY recommend getting one with a hitch mount. Does NOT come with one. It IS very durable and we took the time and money to get it to work on my truck.

As listed .
It was a little harder to install than I thought.Over all a good buy

Overall good product although the u bracket shown is not included
Used angle iron and a anti-wobble bracket to make my own hitch receiver mounted flap system since I needed to keep my bumper available for a bolt on bike rack mounted off center due to RV ladder. Took some fabrication with small tabs on ends to bolt to bottom of bumper. Overall good product although the u bracket shown is not included.
