Due to its highly porous nature, the odor vapors become trapped and neutralized by the cloth, which is then reactivated by simply washing the Shreddies. Do not use fabric softener when washing Shreddies.

Careful if needing to go thru security
I purchased these for the tight quarters on an airplane. One thing to know is that the carbon panel shows up on the security screen and required an extra screening, So if you plan to use these on a plane, put them in the carry on and change after security

Was pleasantly surprised :)
These really work! I would buy a size down next time because they are a little loose on me, but still do the trick. I took the suggestion of previous reviews and wear my regular underwear under these, for the price I want them to last as long as possible. I am hand washing in baking soda and a light tumble in the dryer then air drying the rest of the way. I plan on purchasing several more pairs.

I highly recommend them.
I found out they existed after reading a National Geographic Kids magazine with my son. Researched them and found them in Amazon. Got this product for my mother who has been suffering from flatulence since having chemo therapy,. She uses them on top of her regular panties. We recently went for a trip overseas, and she was thrilled to have them. Usually she is very embarrassed, and her condition was leading to her avoiding social situations. The panties are pricey, and sometimes the size you want is not available right the way. However, they are worth every penny.I highly recommend them.

Sizes
I wear a women's size 16 and the XL is for 12-14, but these fit perfectly all around and I'm hippy. Very satisfied with this purchase and they do work

You can walk behind me now! No more force field!!
They WORK as advertised! I wish I could get them in white and beige. I wear them over my usual underwear by choice not necessary for their effectiveness. I wash them in the machine with other dark clothes, but without any additives or colors or additions to the soap pod. I hang them to dry. They are bulky, but they dry quickly for my needs although I did buy more than one pair after trying them out. They are like being wrapped in a security blanket! Thank you!

Excellent product, very clever
Excellent product, very clever. I balked at the price, but the security of knowing that I won't offend anyone at the gym, in long classes, on the airplane and well, everywhere, is worth the money. I am curious now to see how how long they will last with frequent washings. I wish they came in an extra small size (I'm pretty small) as a tighter fit would provide more protection.

These r wonderful. I have Crohn's disease and they work perfect. They do not sell these in any of the medical supply stores in my area so thank goodness I found them on amazon. Also shared info with my GI doc so he can share with others that go to him. !!!

incredible-a blessing
Suffer terribly with flatulence which causes so much anxiety that I isolate myself, afraid to go out in public for fear of embarrassment. Have tried these out at home and have come to trust in the promise of this item. All is well and no problems exist as long as my Shreddies are in place. This system works! I can't be thankful enough to have come across this product. Relief is such a blessing! I do wear a pair of reggie undies beneath so I don't have to wash my Shreddies daily, hoping that this will help them last longer. DO NOT WASH IN HOT WATER! I've ordered a second pair so the first has time to thoroughly dry before wearing them again.
