Too hot to touch once you pour your hot water in so you can't drink from it. Spills everywhere when you try to pour. ..It is pretty though

Love it . For my green tea. Helps cool down the tea. Used once and I dropped it.😰 Ordered a new one. 🍵That how much I like it. Organic feel to it. Holds/ held 🐟 a well made amount of tea. I don't know. But, the warmth of the cup, made you want to hold it with.two hands. It was cold outside today. Early March. I went fishing and came back cold. I had no sweater or jacket. I made a cup of green tea, and the warmth of the cup made me feel comfy. Now I'm stuck in limbo. Go out and buy one, which is time consuming. Or reorder. now I have to wait till I received my new tea cup.Side note:the glase is neatly applied. They need better pictures to show details not seen on the site. feels hand made.IDK, try one. Maybe it's not your cup of tea. 🤣🤣🤣. Anyways. Do what makes your tea time pleasurable. ENJOY TEA. 🍵. 😌

Made in Japan quality. Lovely to look at, and to touch!! Refined, yet earthy - the progression of textures from the sandy feel of the brown earth on the bottom to the smooth, green glazed area, the understated colors of the spring cherry blossom tree.. Just the right balance of everything. This is quintessential Japanese aesthetics. Thick and durable, but very light. The textured non-slip surfaces give it a very secure feel. It would probably work for MATCHA, but I might be even better for serving regular green tea, b/c the inner diameter is about 3.25 inches. For comparison, the typical tea ceremony bowl has an inside diameter that is about 4.0 inches to give you more room to maneuver the CHASEN (bamboo whisk.) Nonetheless, I love it. It would be very nice paired with another one of a different design.

It is smaller than it should be, it's not great to mix in because of this. I'm assuming it's more for drinking from and not mixing in, which there should definitely be an exclaimer about. You can still mix in it, it's just not very frothy...no matter how hard or long I wisk with my chasen, i think its because is just not deep or wide enough for the proper movements to work. Other than that it is a beautiful bowl, seriously gorgeous. Its definitely handmade and painted. I got the snowy sakura blossoms. I might just get another and a larger mixing spout bowl, make myself two person set lol It is beautiful enough that I'd like to buy another for sure.

I purchased four of these little matcha cups in different patterns and got a cream-colored teapot to match (on another site). They're small but that's OK with me, I like me tea hot so usually make a second cup when I'm ready. An average-sized whisk fits inside but you can't whisk in the recommended motion but I don't bother whisking lately, I just pour hot water over the matcha and stir (I like mine with coconut milk and honey). I have not been seeing options to add photos but the cups are as pictured, very pretty and not cheap looking so price is very reasonable.
