Easy to use digital pen.
Yes, this is the pen that sold for $300. In my opinion, the Anoto pen is the most rugged, secure, and dependable data entry input device for field service companies or anyone who doesn't want to lower their employee productivity. Yes, it is fairly complex and may require some help from an Anoto partner to get optimize the functionality, but they have come a long ways. I predict that Anoto systems will soon become mainstream. The LivePDF system is a game changer. Love it.

LivePDF and Pen still isn't a great value
Ok, first this pen is the DP-201 that Anoto has been selling for over $300 for years and years. After having people scream at them that the high cost of the pen was killing the market (what is left of it after phone and tablet revolution), they finally lowered it to $150.00 for this bundle. It's important to know what you are getting. You get one pen and one software license for the LivePDF product-for a 60 day trial. That product allows you to print any document and it will place the Anoto dot pattern on the page. You then write on it with the pen. When you dock the pen you get a PDF of the page with the handwriting on it. It does NOT convert handwriting to text, nor does it process form data. It is only the equivalent of placing a page in a scanner and making a PDF (despite others' claim to the contrary). Keep in mind that there is SCANT tech support (see Anoto's site on LifePDF for what little help there really is), and if you have issues (as I have with Windows 7) it will take months and months of inconsistent tech support to get anywhere (if you finally do). It's ok, but don't get too excited. If this ever gets to 2.0 then perhaps try it. Most of the end user products that Anoto has produced have been dismal failures (remember Anoto Forms Solutions anyone?). Best to walk away from now.

Live Pen is a game changer
I use my digital pen for reviewing and signing documents constantly. Using an actual pen vs a keyboard or stylus for document review and mark-up is so much more natural to me. The installation and set-up was quick and simple and the accuracy is amazing. I have recommended this product all of my friends and co-workers.
