Love it. Get it. 1 bottle will last forever. Dry or wet, no more tangles. This stuff is AWESOME.
Most detangler contains WATER as a first ingredient, followed by dimethicone. This is pretty much just a dimethicone gel. It IS a silicone and some say bad for the hair as it locks out moisture from the scalp as you brush your hair - so, your natural oils are unable to penetrate your hair. So, regular detangler WETS your whole damn head down, making it something you absolutely can't do right before you leave the house. But this stuff - put a dime sized amount on wet, put it on dry, whatever, it WORKS.Basically, when you buy "human detangler" you're paying for a watered down version of this.Smells strong, but dissipates quickly. So, about that damage - well, your mileage may vary and so will the amount of risk you're willing to take with your hair. My hair is damaged from color stripping at the bottom - so no amount of regular conditioning or oils is going to help, it is damaged. I could cut out the damage, but it will eventually happen again when I do another ombre color treatment. So, what's a girl to do?I don't shampoo my hair. Ever. I haven't for years. I use a few different conditioners and I'm one of those "co-washing" (conditioner-washing) people. I love it. I toughed it out with dry shampoo to keep me from looking like a 50s impersonator during the 3 weeks my hair was growing accustomed to NO shampoo. Before that I had tried all of the mild-color safe shampoos, to no avail. My hair has been the best it could be by co-washing for a couple of years now... And, I live in south Florida! I work out. My hair used to be visibly greasy if I didn't wash it DAILY. It behaves much better now and I'm able to wash it a few times a week or JUST rinse it when I've worked out. Really.BUT THIS STUFF - I try to keep in mind this idea that it may block the absorption of my natural oils - and I only apply it to the color damaged parts of my hair. It REALLY hides the damage. I know that I can't reverse it, but wow, can I hide it! It no longer looks beautifully colored but straw like at the ends. It's shiny, flat, and perfect. People actually come up and ask to touch it. I think that it actually helps to seal in the color as I'm finding that I have to re-color less frequently.

Love this product!
I have used this product for a very long time on horses, dogs and cats and yes will admit even for the occasional knot in my own long hair... I absolutely love this product! It smells delicious and works wonders.

Very versatile. Could not do without!
I use this product consistently on my Newfies. It's the only way I can get down thru to their skin. Newfies have these tiny fuzz balls that stick to the undercoat and if not lubricated will pull on the hairs staying behind. My 1 Newfie was somehow traumatized at his 1st trip to a groomer(never again) and will only tolerate the gentlest of grooming by me, so absolutely no pulling! With this detangler I can dilute it with leave in conditioners and other kinds of skin treatments (I make up my own herbal mixture) and commence to spraying on and rubbing in before brushing. This detangler is condensed and powerful. It is my opinion it should only be used full strength on extreme tangles that can be slowly worked from the bottom inward, sometimes best to just cut those out. A word of caution, if used full strength, be aware that if that section of your dog comes in contact with bare flooring, he quite possibly has created a slipping hazard zone. Proceed with extreme caution.

Lasts for years even with frequent use.
I bought my first bottle of this at a Horse Expo about nine years ago and for a lot more than the cost at Amazon. I started using it on my long-blond-maned mare, but after awhile borrowed if for myself and have used it 3 - 4 times a week ever since. This purchase is only my second bottle, and there's still a little left in the first. I've used some from the new bottle to be sure the quality is the same. It is. Such a tiny amount is needed, pretty much the smallest dot that can be squeezed from the bottle into the palm of your hand; dime size or less. Rub your hands together and run it through your hair to get rid of all the tangles. It leaves hair smoother and shiner and it smells great! Of course it's also excellent for detangling horse manes ;-)

LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!
My breeder recommended this for using on our Shelties. My one girl I have no problem with brushing her undercoat out but the other girl doesn’t like when I line brush thru her undercoat. I used this and she now sits still on grooming table and I can get her COMPLETELY groomed in one session TANGLE FREE! What a game changer.

Safe for type 3C hair
It’s for horses but the company says it’s safe for humans. It smells nice and It works great on my type 3C ethnic /curly hair. I add it too my co-wash or shampoo and detangle my hair in the shower with my fingers or a comb, then I wash it out. Add products and air dry. When I go to wash it again I notice it is way less tangled than usual. so it must keep it from getting too tangled during every day wear or in my sleep.I haven’t left it in my hair because I haven’t felt the need to. I will update review when I try it.

Most Amazing Product EVER!!!
15 years ago I worked at a Farm supply store and the Eqyss Rep gave the staff a few sample bottles of this product to use and share with our customers. Well, I did and I haven't stopped talking about it since. The scent is delicious and the detangler itself - amazing. There's nothing that compares. Not only due we use this for the obvious reasons, manes and tails, I use this on my girth area for long endurance rides and on my long haired dachshund. I'll never look at another product. No need.

It works!
Despite the rather strong floral aroma, this product works miracles! Used it on my reactive dog, and was able to run a comb through his fur easily and gently to get rid of his undercoat that was being shedded (everywhere).
