ShelterLogic11300 Automatic Shelter Vent Kit, White

I wasn't sure how well these would keep my garage cooler, they really work, they open when it gets about 75 degrees and gradually opens as the outside temp goes up, one of the best buys I have made and easy to install. significant difference in temperature than with out these. I put 2 on each of my 2 ShelterLogic garages.

Easy install

Mine were both missing the thermostatic springs that open and close them.Based on most reviews, they don't work that great anyway, so I won't really miss them.Installation was very easy with two people. Nice design, which sandwiches the fabric/tarp, but these just seem kind of expensive for what they are.

Fantastic vent. Keeps the moisture out of the shed, plus keeps the airflow circulating. I keep mine open all the time.

I have purchased three sets of these automatic shelter vents, but have been mediumly satisfied with them. I am happy that they are very easy to install and they work good in as far as venting hot air out of the shelters. The biggest con with them is that they over extend and do not vent properly when its too hot out. I live in Massachusetts and we have a full four seasons. During the winter they tend to be closed as they should be, but during the summer, they hyper extend and actually end up closed again. The way I fixed this was to just put a screw through them in the back and this locks them into place so they just stay open year round. Seems a little silly to me to do this because I paid for self opening vents. It would have made more sense for shelterlogic to put good stoppers so it can only open so much, but I'm not their engineer. So I can't give it more stars. However, locked into place, there is a more noticable cooling effect going on in my big Alpine Shelter building.

I bought these vents a few days ago for My new Shelterlogic shed. This comes with two vents, two screens, and rivets.These vents are spring-activated by the temperature in the shed. They start to open at 74F according to what I read.Anyways, I received the box via UPS. The Box had been opened as it was only taped on one side. You could tell it was opened. Missing was both springs one on each vent that makes them work automatically.So, either someone at UPS opened the box. Or it was a return no one inspected.I am not happy about this. For the price I paid for these plastic vents yup I'm gonna complain till I get the item replaced or they send me new springs.When I ordered shipped out fast I think the next day. After contacting the seller Over 24 plus hours ago still, nothing on my amazon account has shipped or refunded.I just want the springs to snap on. I'm happy with that. I'm not hard to work with here.. But, not impressed thus far to say the least.. We shall see...

I will know a lot more in a couple once the shelter in installed with the vent kit. I did not realize each kit has two vents.

It works well. It helps to have two people to install.

I ordered 2 of these thinking that there was only 1 vent for one end of the shelter in the box. Turns out there are 2. Had no problem returning the extra one.I would say that you definitely need 2 people to properly install the vents: One inside and 1 outside, especially when you are pushing in the retaining clips.Works well and decent construction.I would buy again.

Easy to install and the plastic vents are of decent quality. The bi-metal coil spring mechanism is really mickey mouse. I just cable tied the moving vents open. No water will get in due to the louvers of the outside vents.They are super simple to install and the push grommets hold the vents securely.You really can't fab up some vents to fit the shelter at this price point without spending a ton of time.Instead of cutting out the 12x12 hole, I cut a 12x12 "X" and folded the flaps inside for a stronger seam where the vents attach to the shelter material.

The auto opening broke on one in two days. Easy install didnt bother returning as it was alrdy installed. just tied the vent open. Super expensive for what they are. Doesnt add a ton of ventilation I find still super hot inside the shelter.

Bought for my 12’x24’ shelter to help fight condensation. Not too bad of an install. You will need 2 people to install them and I strongly recommend cutting the screen to size and taping it on during installation. I swore a lot until I did this. As someone else mentioned, it is better to cut the opening on a diagonal and leave the excess in place to make the hole stronger. After 2 days of 80 degree weather they did not open even a little bit so I tied them wide open and my condensation issues have dramatically decreased.

We installed these vents in a tent shelter for our pontoon boat after condensation was causing some damage. They worked surprisingly well. Installation was pretty straight forward and they are standing up well to Canadian winters. Would highly recommend.
