Beans72 Organic Buckwheat Hulls 10 Pounds Made in USA

My favorite sleeping pillows...from buckwheat hulls!
I make buckwheat pillows for others as well as myself. I like it that these hulls are heat treated. Keeping in mind that the heat of an ordinary clothes dryer will kill bedbugs, their eggs, and other pests with their eggs; roasting offers even higher heat than a dryer. I didn't notice any odors. I am glad that they are grown in the U. S. I use only about 5# per regular (full size) pillow cover, because I want them to be malleable for shaping to my preferred position(s). I have found that a ten-pound bag is good for at least two pillows. Once the shape meets your preference for sleeping, these tiny hulls hold the position until you reshape them, unlike foam pillows that always want to spring back and interrupt your sleep. Too many hulls will make for a hard and unforgiving pillow.

Make your own pillow, save 50% of the cost.
I decided to make my own buckwheat pillow. The cost difference was from $120 retail to about $60 to order the buckwheat hulls and a nice thick zippered pillow case (x2). I can say absolutely I noticed less tossing and turning. I'm a side sleeper and my former favorite pillow was just too old and didn't support me. I usually wake up with a sore neck that lasts through the day a bit. With my new buckwheat pillow I wake up refreshed and my neck doesn't hurt!!! I'm so relieved. Plus for me this thing is cool to a hot head unlike foam which traps heat.

Im hooked!
Got this to make my first ever buckwheat pillow. I've had the worst luck finding a pillow that works for me. I am a side and back sleeper, so when I use a pillow that's made for back sleepers, it's too flat when I sleep on my side. When I use a side sleeper pillow it's too big when I sleep on my back. My buckwheat pillow moves and conforms to whatever position I choose. I've been using it for about a month now and I'm hooked! I put almost all of the 10 pounds into a single pillow...It's heavy, but soooo comfortable!

My order arrived in a shorter time than I expected ...
My order arrived in a shorter time than I expected. The hulls look clean, no dust, other parts of the plant, and are sufficiently dry. This is the 1st time that I ordered from Beans72.com but I have bought a lot of buckwheat hulls for many years from a producer in N Dakota when I needed large amounts. The quality of the hulls I received from Beans72.com seem to have the same high quality; time will tell.

great product
These buckwheat hulls are fresh and in great condition, I didn't see any broken pieces or dust , there was no weird smell. I initially bought one 10 lb bag hoping to fill two pillows, turned out that was not enough. Each 10 lb bag fill up a standard size pillow case. It's kind of pricy but buckwheat pillows are really comfortable and they last forever. It's a good investment after all.

Great!
No problems: good quality, no bugs. I fully replaced the buckwheat hulls in two old pillows, and now they're back in perfect shape.A much cheaper alternative to buying new buckwheat pillows!

Love this refill
I have two standard buckwheat hull filled pillows and from time to time you need to refill them. This was the perfect size to get them medium-hard filled and a little leftover for the next fill up.Will definitely be ordering again.

Love it so much! Supportive and comfortable.Honestly it’s cheaper to make your own. The sewing part wasn’t too complicated.(Two pillows for queen size bed)
