fine for lightweight duty, but low recycled content
Very lightweight "kitchen" trash bags. They have flaps for tying off, though I usually try to leave enough material to just loop and knot. They're sturdy enough for general trash, but won't work for heavy/wet trash, nor anything pointy. The big sell from 7th-gen is usually recycled/sustainable content. Unfortunately, these bags are just 55% recycled content, of which only 16% is post-consumer (meaning made from the stuff you and I put in the recycling bin).Trash bags seem like an easy place to go much higher in recycled content, since they're single-use, they can be off-colored or speckled without it being an issue, don't have to be clear or pure-white...and Seventh Generation is known for going out of their way to create highly recycled products, even when the recycled materials stream was far smaller in the USA.So why they decided to sell trashbags that are both flimsy AND only modestly sustainable? Baffles the buyer and doesn't do justice to the brand.A previous version of these bags that I used was better made, had draw-strings, and contained higher post-consumer content. The new version seems like a step backwards: less usable and less recycled. Maybe still better (for the world) than the competition, but not as much better as I expect for the brand.7th Generation was a pioneer in bringing sustainable consumer products to the American marketplace. I remember having to go to the local natural food markets to find their products, before the common-sense ideas of sustainability became mainstream. They were instrumental in making sure such products got shelf space with major retailers. Hopefully the so-so quality and low recycled content of this item is not a sign of how things are progressing under their recent Unilever ownership.

Great...if you like trash everywhere!
I tried these because the selection currently in stock on Amazon Fresh was limited and I really needed to add trash bags to my grocery order...big mistake. I thought I was doing well by choosing these "green" recycled bags, they were a dollar cheaper than the only other bags listed, so I bought them thinking I could do good for the environment and my bank account. Fail! Almost every bag has torn in one place or another. Today, as I was lifting the bag from the can, the bottom ripped out like a wet paper towel...trash went everywhere! It wasn't even an especially large or heavy trash load. Never again! These are "garbage"!

Servicable but not convenient
The way the bags separated from the roll was maddening. The bags alternate connections base to base and top to top. It is very hard to find the top to top perforations. You basically have to unroll from base to the next base to base connection, fold in half linearlly, then spread it out at the halfway point an look for perforations. It took much longer than necessary to doo this.Otherwise serviceable bag.

Trash! In the worst possible way! DON'T BUY!
These trash bags are utter trash! In the worst way possible!Over other bag is unglued and is just a big tube of flimsy plastic. They fall apart at the slightest touch.Waste of money, time, and energy spent cleaning up after they rip.Not worth $0.01! Not worth it if I was paid the price of these and given them for free on top of that as the time and aggravation spent dealing with them is not worth it!

Huge Waste of Money
I bought these trash bags because of supposedly being better for the environment but they are so thin that even when I fill half a bag with light-weight trash it immediately tears when lifted.

Super thin
This wasn't my favorite brand of trash bags, it was definitely too light and it's ties were not sturdy at all. All my trash bags would break and it became impossible to tie the bags. It's not like the traditional string ties, so if you like that kind of grip, it won't be here. It was a great size for my trashcan, but I couldn't finish using the whole box because they kept breaking.

Not so good because isn't thick enough
I wasn't impressed with the quality of these bags. You can bags like these at the dollar store. I was hoping for something a bit stronger than dollar store bags.

If you have to use plastic, at least use recycled plastic!
I've used these for years. I feel better that they are Seventh Generation, because if I have to use plastic bags, and I do, at least they are recycled plastic. I have not had any bursts or leaks.
