TileMate + Slim (2020) 4-pack (2 Mates, 2 Slims) - Discontinued by Manufacturer

They were xmas gifts so I cannot give an experience review, but they seemed appreciative!

I mainly use this for piece of mind. You can tag different assets (find my gucci bag, find my tablet, find my bicycle) and easily find where they are and were using the app (blue dot on a map or audio alarm). My most common need is to find my keys via Google Home when leaving the house in a hurry.Google home is really good at helping you find your phone. It's integration with Tile doesn't work as well as the app. Most of the time when I ask google home to ask Tile to find my keys it says it can't find it. However, the app mostly works. You can setup a Google Home routine called 'Help me leave on time' and Google Home's integration can start ringing your wallet, your phone, your keys, and your laptop bag simultaneously. I've quickly found my phone hidden in my bed sheets, my keys in the laundry hamper, and my wallet in my pants pocket on a hanger in my closet. You just run around snatching your items up wherever you hear them ringing and get out the door. It's FANTASTIC and enabled by Tile.My main decision point is around privacy versus convenience. If you leave a restaurant/hotel, get to your car, and suddenly realize you don't have your keys, then you just open the app and see where it is/was last seen. It helps you understand if it's in the hotel room/restaurant table, in the restaurant bathroom, in the elevator, or sitting in lost and found. This could save you time and stress and the ordeal of trying to get replacements. In order for this to work, the tile has to connect to internet enabled devices and it reports back to Tile servers. With infamous hacks of large corporations or even certain people having access to your account, they can locate where you ARE AND where you WERE. I'm not always comfortable with that. Google Maps also has that information. Any app on your phone probably has some way to identify where you are. Any website you visit can also identify where you are to some degree. Comcast/xFinity routers now also have Tile integration built in and they are EVERYWHERE. Just check for available wifi networks wherever you are. I always see "xfinitywifi" available.It's great for you finding things but it's also great for people or entities to find YOU. Although this data provides you some convenience, it can be used against you by friends, family, employers, and the law (government). One day you could receive a subpoena based on the data that your wallet was at a location at a time during an event they want to know more about.This reminds of the famous quote: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety/Conveniene, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety/Convenience." I hope you struggle with choosing to use these devices as much as I do.

I have more than 8 Tile devices, Slims for wallets, several Mate models like these for keys and my work ID badge. I also own one Pro model that is attached to the keys that started all this. The Pro model has longer range, 400ft versus 200ft for the Mate and the Pro model has a louder noise maker.The Pro and Mate models have one year replaceable batteries while the Slim model has a 3 year non-replaceable battery. But with the Slim model you will get a discount when they need replacement.My initial purchase was initiated by losing my main set of keys, house and car, outside. Replacing the car key was going to cost $400 since it is a fob you slip into the dash and not a conventional key at all. I turned out the keys were covered by a small cluster of leaves and lucky for me on a windy day they got uncovered. Once found I was determined to minimize the chance of losing them again and bought my first Tile device. Having my key make noise on demand has helped me find my key a number of times.I have also bought the annual premium service which will tell you the last time the device was seen anyone's Tile app and sends you annual battery replacements.The Tile devices have the ability to make your phone make noise even when in silent mode so you can locate your phone if you can find your keys. I have now put Tiles in my wife's and my wallets, on our keyrings, even the spares, and with my ID badge for work. All the things that seem to get misplaced regularly.I wish they had something that was small enough and light enough for eyeglasses but that is not likely any time soon. 😒

I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. He is notorious for driving me nuts on our way out the door, searching for his wallet and keys. So I got him the Tile shaped like a credit card for his wallet and he dutifully put the tab on his keys. It had already come in handy a couple of times. Then, two weeks after I gave this to him, we went on a trip from San Diego to Las Vegas. We stopped to get lunch halfway through our 6 hour trip. When we got to Vegas, my husband reached for his wallet to give a few bucks to a homeless person outside our car, and he couldn't find it. "No problem," he says. "I'll just trigger the Tile when we get to the hotel." When we arrived and he triggered it... we didn't hear it ring, and he looks at the app and it says that it's out of range. He then used the location and found that he had left it in the bathroom at the restaurant at lunch... hundreds of miles away.We called the restaurant to ask if it was there. They said they didn't have it. My husband looked hard and figured out based on the location that it was in the bathroom. We called back, told them we had the Tile in the wallet and that it was in the bathroom, and, miraculously, someone found it. We were able to retrieve his wallet with everything still in it on our way home a few days later!!!I keep imagining the other scenario, in which I had NOT bought him the Tile for Christmas. We might still be tearing apart our car and yelling at each other in frustration despair. We are going on another trip next week that we would have had to cancel because he wouldn't be able to use his tickets without an ID. We would have had to cancel and replace all of our cards. We would have been afraid our whole trip that someone was going to empty our bank account whilst we were in Las Vegas. It would have been a nightmare. I am SOOOOOOO GLAD we got the Tile!!!

I’m always loosing my keys or my work badge in the morning before I get ready to head to work. This saves me every time.

Can't find your keys, wallet, TV remotes. Push the APP on your phone and your saved.I also recommended it to my niece. 3 kids, all under 10 years old, 4 TV'S, multiple remotes and even a medical device that can not be misplaced. It is truly a lifesaver for their family.

Not heavy or a huge key chainNeutral appearanceMy surprise: My keys can find my phone :-DMeh:I didn't find it super easy to set Tone A to house keys and Tone B to car keys and have it stay. Kept switching - though the problem was likely something I didn't do rightAfter a while the car keys and house keys had the same tone. No idea how that happened and it I had a little struggle to get the tones to picture right -Great gift idea. Great little gadget.

I tend to lose things ....and with the tile its easy to find

I primarily bought these as my son is at an age when he needs his own keys and has previously lost keys. So far we've been able to track his keys when he left them at school and also found them in the house when he can't remember where he put them. Works super well with Alexa when we're at home.

i bought this for my cats and thankfully havent really needed to use it, however i do test it occasionally with them around the house. aside from the app being a little difficult to connect which can be fixed by rebooting the phone there isnt really much in the way of problems with the product itself. however the batteries it comes with is a problem. i had bought a set and 1 had stopped working. upon removing the battery cover i noticed that one of the batteries had corroded. we contacted amazon and got a replacement (and thankfully ordered back up batteries). when the replacements showed up the first thing i did was check the batteries and sure enough one was corroded.they seem to be an ok product aside from this one major flaw.

Usually I write two lines in a review - this might be 2-3! Love the product, I didn't realise how many times I used to ask where my wallet was or keys. Think it has resolved any arguments from the partner ie...comments like " you always lose your wallet".Links with google home really well and on the command of "ring my wallet" or "keys" - They make a little tune. It also shows on the app where they are ie similar to apple find my!Love the product and will be getting more as a gifts.
