works great
At my camp, did't matter if it was summer or winter, toilet would sweat. This went on for ten years. Can't tell you how many plumbers didn't know the answer to correct this.Looked on you tube, and heard everything from insulating inside of tank to insulating outside of tank.Happened to read an article about this valve. No plumbing supply house that I called had this part.Figured for the price, give it a try. The pex fittings were more than the part.Took about an hour to pipe in,but it solved the problem.Toilet hasn't sweat since

Works great so far
This mixing valve completely solved the problem of my mom’s sweaty toilet tank, which produced so much dripping the floor was close to being ruined. I was able to connect this without any major plumbing work, by using the hot water supply in the adjacent sink vanity, and installing three new flexible supply lines. I replaced the standard hot shutoff valve under the sink with a tee valve (two valved outlets), one outlet connecting to the sink faucet, and the other heading through a hole drilled in the vanity sidewall to the mixing valve. Input cold water comes from the original toilet shutoff valve. Output goes to the toilet tank. I put the adjustment screw halfway between full open and closed, and that seems to work well. The mixing valve is enclosed in a 6x6 square electrical junction box, spray painted to match the decor, attached to the bathroom wall near the bottom of the tank. I wish I had known about this solution years ago! The brass seems good quality. The 1/2” threaded male ports are clean and smooth, and mated with the 1/2” female fittings on the supply lines perfectly.

The sweating problem is 100% over.
I'm on well-water and it comes out COLD! The toilet sweated like crazy, even in the winter. I saw this type of valve on "This Old House" and had to order it online as retail stores don't have it. It was super easy to hook up, once I ran a hot water line over to the right place. My pipes are CPVC and it fit great, no leaks. (It'll hook up to any type of 1/2" pipe though.) The sweating problem is 100% over. GONE. Love it!

Works well, suggest a little maintenance from time to time
Now I understand why I am on my 3rd and hopefully last valve. 1st one, adjuster screw broke. 2nd one stopped mixing. Put in 3rd, and decided to take the 2nd one apart. Learned that while it sits still for 6 months, it builds up corrosion on the plunger. The siezed up plunger blocks adjustment, hence broken screw. Siezed plunger also means no mixing. I'd suggest you take apart before installing, and apply silicone grease to all moving parts. Then did the same once a year. I plan to!!

Get this if your tank is sweating and be done with it.
This fixed my toilet tank sweating issue immediately. It's been installed one month now and is working great. NPT threads are great. Makes it easy to go to Pex. Simply get 3 half inch pipe thread to Pex fittings and you are set. Two plumbers and the hardware store guy all said this would not work but it did! This is pipe thread regardless of what anyone else tells you. I did not adjust the mix valve as water in my tank comes in around 65 degrees which prevents sweating even after a steamy hot shower. This is the answer to a sweating toilet tank.

Goodbye cold blast to the pooter
So far, so good. In fact, I bought one of those Tushi bidet attachment Since warm water was now available at the toilet supply valve. So this will serve two purposes in our lake cabin. It will keep the toilet tank from sweating, and it will be a pleasant warm spray versus an ice cold shock to the starfish.

Long fill time
Works as promised but the advertised "Built-in check valves [which] prevent hot and cold water cross connection" will reduce the pressure to the toilet fill valve and cause the fill time to double. Normal fill time was previously 1.5 minutes. After valve installation it was 3 minutes. The fill time can be reduced to 2 minutes by removing the check valves and increasing the drilled holes to 3/32 inch. The original holes were 5/64 inch.

Works well
Great product, works well. Did come with US sized bolts which we had to change for UK size as slightly different but other than that it does the job!
